Am I reading this thread right for man of the match Klich 30 votes?
He was awful a long with a lot of others but Klich backed out of numerous challenges switched of when tracking back and since being in the premier league he's looked out of this depth

Normally a goal will give you a boost on these polls but i felt that defensively Ayling was just sono bad that the usual boost you get for a goal should be totally ignored. Literally if you watch the highlights packages the first chance is Pogba who Ayling is miles away from going through on goal and missing a chance after a stepover. The second is Pogba playing Fernandes through for the goal, Ayling again is miles off his man no where near tight enough.

The 3rd is his goal, a great strike, the 4th Ayling has his back to Pogba who receives the ball and plays in Greenwood to score, and then the last goal Ayling has gone walkies leaving Raph to track Pogba. It was such a bad defensive performance i struggle to see how 1 goal can counter a truly woeful defensive display in which Ayling was partially responsible for 4 of 5 goals?

He did do ok offensively relatively speaking but his defensive game was woeful, every bit as bad as Koch imo.

Agree on the cb situaton it didnt look right but Koch was dreadful also from a defensive point of view, tracking runners is just defending and he didnt do that at all well imo.

I dont get why the senior left footer in Cooper wasnt the one moved across? Why was poor Struijk put at a disadvantage?
Your whole mindset and positioning is different playing DMF opposed to CB.

Perhaps but defending is defending, reading the game, tracking runners etc.

Wherever you play on the pitch the basics dont change and because of our system you can end up playing anywhere man to man so i dont think that is an excuse.

You could often see Alioski the left back marking someone on right wing at times last season for example so the changing of positions is just part of our system anyway.

Also Koch has played as defensive midfield a lot back in Germany so io dont think he has much of an excuse.

Bielsa's system though means it's just different, everything about it is specialist. Very few, if any, players have come in and popped out of the gate. Wing is probably the easiest to learn under Bielsa. Took Kalvin a good 18 months imo to become a good DMF and as I say his mistakes didn't get punished as he got to practice in the Championship. Bamford was poor through his first season and a half, Jack took a season

Manure are very good, my team to win it all this season, and will punish any uncertainty.. I don't think we can read too much into that result as we couldn't last season and that was the correct conclusion then too.

In this division you just can't come in cold against a team like Manure and we did, a cobbled central defence and defensive mid and a winger playing his worst game for us. Had a few of Raph passes found their target and his shot the same we score 3/4 ourselves imo, We go through Raph now so when that bit breaks the whole thing looks bad but it doesn't mean the others played that poorly. Klich's excellent curling shot and clever passing did cause them problems, Roberts lovely touch pass should have been his first assist of the season.

We lost, we move on... no big deal. If we make it a big deal then we may have problems

After supporting Leeds pretty much from birth born and bred this is the first game I can remember where I’ve not watched to the bitter end and I’ve seen some dire games, but when the 4th went in I had to leave the house, so took my grandson off to see some tanks at the Yorkshire Wartime Experience definitely a good decision.

Ayling for that fabulous goal I think the only time I cheered in the entire game
Meslier didn’t deserve to pick the ball out of the net 5 times
Dallas for at least trying
No one
No one

Meslier - some great saves, although dodgy distribution
Ayling - great goal, awful defending
Dallas
Klich
JH
Firpo

Last four are just players who seemed to do fewer bad things than the other players but were all pretty awful

This could be the lowest score in the history of the MOTM poll.

No we've had lower winning scores but back in the bad old days of Chamionship mediocrity and a lot less voters following a defeat
