The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 22nd July) Leeds training camp to remain a mystery

Good Morning. It's Monday 22nd July, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Leeds training camp to remain a mystery

Leeds Utd and the German authorities have refused to disclose the location of Daniel Farke's training camp, due (apparently) to wider concerns with Leeds fans turning up!

Not only have fans been told that they are not welcome, we won't be able to watch any of the games live as the Whites have been refused permission to stream any of the games. Instead, once they finish, the entire match(es) will be available for free on LUTV.

Beren Cross and Graham Smyth are the only two Leeds Utd journalists allowed to follow Leeds progress this week, in what many see as farcical and unjustified. Whilst officially the club are said to be baffled and frustrated by the German authorities, the feeling is there is more to this story than meets the eye!

Bogle signs before jetting off to Germany

Jayden Bogle became Leeds fourth signing of the Summer, after the ER hierarchy managed to pin the Blades down to a £5m fee, for explosive right-back Jayden Bogle.

With the new season less than three weeks away, panic was beginning to set in, that the takeover of Sheffield Utd by an American consortium may put the deal at risk; but just like they did with Joe Rodon, came up with the goods when it was needed most!

The 23yo penned a four year contract after undergoing his medical on Saturday morning, before boarding a plane (yesterday) destined for Paderborn, to meet with 26 of his new team-mates including fellow newbies Alex Cairns, Joe Rodon, Joe Rothwell, Max Wober and Brenden Arronson. Patrick Bamford also travelled, though he is still recovering from knee surgery.

Social media was abuzz with conflicting views, depending on which part of Yorkshire you represented, though Chris Wilder's (Blades Manager) weekend meltdown puts the sale nicely into perspective. As Hannibal Smith used to say, I love it when a plan comes together!

Leeds enquire about sensational winger

Leeds are one of many Championship outfits to enquire about highly rated Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sayki.

The exciting 21yo is available on loan, and keen to test his himself at a higher level, having enjoyed a phenomenal spell at Charlton last season, netting 15 goals whilst laying on 10 assists. Southampton have already have a £7m offer rejected last week, with the South London club eager for the England U20 International on their books!

Firpo to stay?

If Junior Firpo plans to move to Real Betis this Summer, you certainly couldn't tell by his performance on Friday night.

The soon to be 28yo is enjoying a second lease of life, operating under Daniel Farke, playing some of his best football of his career. Not only did he score Leeds opener, but his link-up play was great, plus he looked sharp, confident and happy to be playing; not like someone itching for a move!

We heard last week that the Dominican Republic International was not happy with the clubs decision not to allow him to go to the Olympics. This was followed 48 hours later by speculation linking him to a move back to Real Betis; due to a supposed clause in his contract allowing him to leave on loan to a club of his choice during the final 12 months of his contract!

re the pre season tour...as with many things Farke does, they are done in private. Whilst some of the restrictions of this tour maybe due to German authorities, I suspect they are not being resisted. Let the team prepare in peace...

On the journo's on the tour, interesting that no-one from the athletic given Phil Hay would have been a certainty.

Bogle - welcome! Seems like a right sized piece to the jigsaw.

Others who we may / may not sign. it's all speculation!

Farke might be worried about meddling kids.

If Wober is going to stay for the season? it will to interesting to see where he fits into the team?
If we play 4 at the back it looks like Rodon and either Struijk or Wober. Or potentially one of them at left back.
Or more unlikely a change of formation from last season with 3 centre backs and Bogle and Firpo as wing backs.

It’s certainly an odd preseason trip, not often that there is this level of separation between the fans and team - you would expect when the club were planning it they would seek alternatives once the restrictions became apparent unless of course they wanted preparations kept secret, not from fans but other clubs - in sure the jornos will have been briefed on what the club would prefer they do and don’t say.

I'm not going to the Valencia game, they can ram it, if I ain't invited to spend good money going to Germany, they can forget about me going to ER for a friendly as well.
s**t way for a club to treat it's fans.
I only wish every other fan would do the same, we may get an apology or excuse from the club then.

Have at butchers at Ger’s YouTube content for today, he shows an image of the leaked yellow away strip, there is also a leak of the supposed 3rd strip which is purple and Lilac. Personally, if this is our 3rd strip it is a huge improvement on last seasons.

Apologies I cannot link on this device but I am sure someone will be kind enough to link his content from today.

See if this works:

Although the suggested description of the 3rd kit colours is not represented by the images he provides.

Did they say we play in Germany? It sounds more like North Korea. Although Germany seems to be drifting back Eastwards with the crack down on the media that is taking place. Maybe if we lose they can edit the videos and correct the footage..

All players are welcome but if the team stays as it is there is no need for more wingers. With Farke experimenting with 3 at the back even less so. I think we are just about there with the team.

Good link that thanks
The yellow shirt is getting some interest, at first I was sceptical because of the badge, can you have a different club badge on for the away shirt !!
No doubt the FL will find a loophole to either fine us, or deduct us points.
