RIP to Queen Elizabeth 2.

I'm no fan of royalty, but credit where credit is due. Charles 3rd is aware and involved in conservation, preserving traditional skills, etc. I hope he continues with his environmental concerns, reviving British rural traditions, along with making Britain great again (MBGA).

Such a wonderful surprise this was.

Expected an impersonator
And then even in her last few months she still did this.
Awesome sense of humour

RIP Queen Elizabeth 2nd.

We were good friends with an elderly English couple when we lived in Canada, and Dorothy had served with the Queen in the Land Army, where the Queen was a driver.

Dorothy told us she was having to walk quite a number of miles to her base each day, and one day a truck pulled up driven by the Queen, who gave her a lift to the base. At the end of her working day Dorothy went to leave for her walk home and the Queen's royal car was waiting outside to take her home, minus the Queen.

So Dorothy got a chauffeur ride back home in the royal car, and said that "For one day in my life I felt like a Queen".

Dorothy was roughly the same age as the Queen and sadly passed away a few years ago.

But it gave my wife and I a real insight into the humility and generosity of the Queen, God bless her.

You could dine out on that anecdote Riot. Amazing story.
She’s a legend, fair play. Irrelevant if you’re not a royalist. She transcended any of that.

But for me, as you say, she transcended all that baloney, because she was a good, hard working, decent human being, and I always gravitate towards kindness, politeness, and generosity, regardless of creed, or colour, or birthright.

For the majority of us James, The Queen is the only monarch we've known in our lifetime.

No it won't Jay.

I wonder what will happen to all her horses.

It wasn't so long ago The Queen was riding out her horse on the royal estates.

They would race on in her absence I’d say. No reason why not. Also Sandringham Stud was a big part of her racing set up.

Not that it matters but do we expect Premier League fixtures to be postponed this weekend?

Or because people will have already made arrangements for travel and whatnot do we think they will wait and postpone next weeks?
