From Gary Cooper's FB page....

"Looks likely a deal to sell a majority stake in the club is near to completion Dave. I am not privy to the details but noises are coming from all the right places."

More of the same info....

http://www.idradebeleeds.com/latestnews ... ds-united/

The last couple of paragraphs are interesting and hopeful....
According to reports, the business had gained a net worth of $350million in 2014 under the management of Andrea Radrizzani. He instigated the deals in which the business purchased the rights to partner with companies such as FIFA, the Premier League and Arsenal FC media.

The company boasts an impressive portfolio. They were the main distributor of transmission all over the globe for the duration of the FIFA World Cup in 2014 in Brazil and also provided transmission of football from the Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, the MLS and numerous others.

According to The Financial Times (ft.com), Radrizzani and his co-founders’ of MP & Silva had a 40% value of over $1billion. The company also boasts that they have funded everything from scratch and have no debt.

MP & Silva brought in revenue figures of $750million in just 2014/15 alone.

Tongue firmly in cheek, faaip??

I'd love to see a serious injection of cash, but I'd want Monk to be given a chance to spend it on some real quality to get us out of this league. Level playing field with the parachute clubs would suit me. Or maybe slightly slanted in our favour!!

I'm not saying this is a bad move, it is what it will be, good for the club but upheavals likely

I think you're probably right, but I hope they give Monk a chance. As fans, we've been crying out for a young English manager for years, now we have one it'd be foolish to jettison him for some 'name' who comes at a high price

Phil Hay on twitter this morning saying Cellino and Radrizzani have been in talks for over a month now. And also confirmed him fronting for Boafeng, Chinese tech company. This one appears to have some legs!

I would welcome such a change but I actually feel a bit sorry for Cellino - yes, he's caused his own problems to a large extent but he so wanted to do well for us and he certainly took care of essential financials, possibly saving the club from entering another Administration.

C'est la vie!

I can't imagine they'd still have shares in the club after this all shakes out, if it happens.

I can....why would they cash out when serious money comes to the party? they can double triple or quadruple their money if we get into the premiership (If we don't then the Chinese will probably cut their losses, even with shed loads of money we'll be a difficult team to fix)

From the poster @Mighty Kippax

"I have been watching the developments with interest, without adding anything.

As some of you will know on here, I deal with some of the major law firms as a matter of course in my working life. Some will also know that I have not been to many games within the Italian crooks regime.

However, today is a day of two major steps in the right direction, for the last 2 days Bird and Bird have had a data room open with a team of completion lawyers trying to push a deal to close, there is a consortium in place, with a name well known to most businessmen in gods own county, and a significant investor backing the deal. From what I understand this is a game changer, and if it goes through will change the club for the better.

There is no Chinese involvement.

the second step forward is expect a statement from GFHC very soon, which will lift the lid on some dealings with KWB and Davie boy.

interesting times ahead.

And for those that may be sceptical, I am a family man in my 40s with no need to bullshit. I love this club as much as the majority of you. I will only post when I know something of genuine worth."
