Topics getting bogged down
If you have a quick ganders
You see crystal Palace thread etc
What's all that about
It's clogged up this site
I'm not having a go at anyone it's just a bind IMHO
This should be about Leeds and Blyth Spartans....drinking.... and maybe a few pigeon and hellsugenics ideas

An Ig.

Don't see the need for a separate thread for every club in the league - merge them together, and just talk about whichever team we are playing next.

Re: Topics getting bogged down
We need the CP thread to drool over Conner Gallagher and moan how we didn't get him when actually the forum didn't want him ..

How about don't read the things of no interest.
Igloo was good can we have more on interesting subjects maybe blackholes, time and space distortion as looking at some of the tripe written about some players I think the writers have travelled beyond the event horizon to a parallel universe.

The breakfast debate date 29th July when it was stated Conor Gallagher had chosen Crystal Palace, only 5 people stated they didn't want him (I wasn't one of them by the way).

Re: Topics getting bogged down
I don't see the issue with it, every forum is different, if tha don't want to read something , don't read it.
The topics change regularly because the Mod's do a sterling job, hence not clogging the forum up with 20 odd topics on same subject, omo like.

I'm always looking to improve MOT by checking other football forums.
Many of the PL club forums have separate topics for their rivals & other teams, they also have individual threads for their squad players which creates much discussion as is the case on MOT.
When compiling the club threads, the introductory post gives the history/details of the club, which also features links to their football forums.
Citeh's Blue Moon forum has a Leeds topic, last time I perused the forum it had passed 100 pages.
I feel we have a good mix of topics.
One major forum some fans rave about still has the same boring subjects, let's face it, how can a thread about 'Emma's Tits' attract 320 pages
Re: Topics getting bogged down
On the other hand, my Random Musings general chat thread has over 1300 pages. That's something we don't have here.

Re: Topics getting bogged down
May i suggest sticky index's.
So sticky threads for different subjects with each relevant thread linked.
So a sticky for general interest threads with links to all the music, film, tv, etc hreads.
A sticky for general sport non football threads
A sticky for football threads with all the team threads and what not linked.
And a sticky for Leeds match threads and discussions etc.
Something to make the forum more organised and easily accessible so people dont lose days looking for a specific thread

I really don’t see what is confusing about the current idea of having a thread for each PL club. It keeps everything nicely compartmentalised under the umbrella of each club. When separate threads relating to that club are started (eg the recent appointment of Conte at Spurs) the thread is merged under the ‘club’ thread.
Let’s face it most people probably only look at page 1 and there’s never more than 2 (3 at a push) other club threads on the first page.
It tends to be the same threads that occupy page 1 position as they are the ones that members contribute to most frequently.
However, as 64 has said something for the Mods to discuss
