Sometime mid December

Post by mentalcase »

When all the players are fit again and free from suspension, the team I'd put out as my strongest is :

Meslier

Shackleton
Llorente
Koch
Firpo

Phillips

Raphina
Rodrigo
Sommerville
Klich

Gelhardt

Cresswell
Ayling
Struijk ready to fill in back 4

Bate, Dallas, lazy Harrison and James ready in midfield

Bamford ready up front

Cooper and Forshaw only if struggling again with injuries / suspensions
Roberts, well hopefully he'll be out on loan anyway come January.

I don't think Harrison is lazy, he's got bags of energy and has displayed his skill many times - he's just to a certain extent confused as to what he should be doing - probably not helped by negative reports from this and other fan sites.

James is an enigma - so full of promise but seems scared to do anything positive - I refer you back to paragraph 1

"Confused as to what he should be doing" ???
Playing football, attacking the opposition , tracking back and assisting his team-mates, keeping the ball instead of continually giving it away, chipping in with a few goals / assists, same as for James, only my opinion like, thats why neither would start, might just kick them up the arse.

Koch gives me Forshaw vibes, doubt he will take part much this season at all.

Bate needs a good cup game vs Arsenal imo, if that doesn't happen his only chance is injuries unfortunately (must annoy him seeing Broja and Livramento playing weekly for Southampton).

Would like to see more chances for Joffy and Jimmy as you say, I'm a big believer in playing the form players and not the names
