Some of our fans use the injuries as an excuse but thats why you have a squad.

If your squad can't cope then you haven't done your job in building a squad.

Besides that why should we not expect injuries.

Ayling and KP have both struggled with injuries for years, for Ayling last season was the anomaly,2 seasons before he missed 9 and 6 league games respectively.

KP has missed 9 in both the last 2 seasons.

Koch, well what can you say, he has been a sick note.

Bamford has played almost non stop for years, the human body can't do that indefinitely.

And then we have players like Llorente and Cooper who are also guaranteed to miss games.

We have a squad that is full of injury prone and overplayed players, injuries should be expected and planned against rather than used as an excuse by fans and the club.

No organization, no energy, no confidence, no talent and worst of all no will to win.

Teams that get relegated put in performances like that.

I'm shocked that we could play that badly, and make a very poor team look half decent.

Saints should have won it by a lot more than one.

I don't think we had a single attempt on target.

I've said before that we have nothing without KP, let's hope him, Bamford and Raphinha are available soon, or there'll be more of that type of performance.

Time for MB, the coaches and players to inspire something or we're gonna be in a relegation fight.
Couldn't have posted any more, you say it all mate :(

Many of this squad hit heights last season they were never likely to again

Forshaw was never very good in the first place never mind years of injuries later.

But Bielsa first and foremost got it wrong bringing him on, it was a highlight of MB's worst traits, of his stubbornness, of his fixation with must choose anyone from my 18 first.
His fixation & favourites were there for all to see today.

The worst thing you can do at the top level is consolidate because by its very definition you stand still.

The top level doesn't stand still.
Exactly, we've sat on our laurels and are paying the price for it.

All teams are continually improving at this level, either to challenge or ensure survival, so when you don't improve you go backwards.

I said a while ago that if KP is out we are screwed, let's hope he gets fit and stays fit.

Shocking performances from just about all of them today.

I'll reserve judgement until after Wolves & Norwich. That'll be 10 games in . Injuries can't be used as an excuse/reason indefinitely, lack of depth and quality are reasons not excuses and that is down to piss poor management.

Confirmed the level a lot of that team are at.

The biggest disappointment is Rodrigo, what a waste of money he's been.

Forshaw and Roberts couldn't hack it in the Championship, never mind this level.

Best hope that KP, Bamford and Raphinha get fit and stay fit.

Regardless of that, I can't see KP and Raphinha staying after this season.

A mad as a hatter decision all down to having a weak midfield to begin with from the start of the season.

I don't think we can because I don't know who would get more out of such a 1 dimensional and limited squad.

This is a squad entirely tailored towards 1 system.

With players entirely programmed to one system which signs players based on off the ball rather than on the ball stuff.

It's a totally inflexible squad.

That being said players are fickle, if they are being trained and trained and trained and thrashed to death physically then they want results.

If they don't get that then they will question managers methods very quickly.

We mustn't kid ourselves into thinking our players will be any different to other squads.

They won't keep faith for good especially because of how knackered they will be.

Hate to say it but he is now taking us backwards and unless there is a massive improvement against a Wolves team who have turned the corner Bielsa can start counting the days down. That performance was championship at best regardless of how many players we had out, thank fook ward Prowse and Adams weren't playing for them. Ask Phillips....he will know what's coming from the fans if this isn't sorted !

Yeah, Wolves and Norwich will be the acid test.

Against Burnley, Newcastle, Southampton and Watford we've managed one win. Should be picking up four wins against those sides, we battered three of them last season.

Whoever comes in will probably be losing KP and Raphinha in the summer, and will have to overhaul a large part of this squad, which should have started in the summer.

It's really worrying that we've looked so poor against Burnley and Southampton, two sides that you need to be beating to stay up.

All three rarely score goals, passengers in the premier league.

We are in deep trouble if our main four players are unavailable for sustained periods.

Southampton also were without James Ward Prowse (Captain)

Che Adams (main striker).

And lost Danny Ings, Ryan Bertrand, Jannick Vestergaard , 3 key players in the summer whereas we kept our squad together.

Southampton battered us and their are no excuses

Shacks probably was, at least James ran his guts out and Meslier made a few decent saves but caused us problems with terrible distribution.

Lots of shocking performances and our record buy Rodrigo was the worst player on the park.
