Fortunately for us, Callum Wilson is injured.
But if we can't compete with Newcastle with a few of our players missing, then it clearly shows that our squad isn't strong enough.

Agreed, though we may go three at the back with Shacks as a RWB

Heard that Harrison has covid and raph is a doubt, also rumours about bamford. looking like it’s going to be a much weakened side tonight. If Newcastle can’t beat us with half our team out they really do have no hope.

Leeds still begin as bookies favourites, but that can all change after a shirt pull or two.

I'm working until 10pm, so have to be careful checking up on progress.

Agreed. Shacks better in there imo.

Clean sheet would do me tonight.

Had a look on ****** and posters who i think are quite reliable have said the same thing.

Harrison has covid and Raph is a doubt.

In a weird way if it forces MB to give Summerville a chance this may be a blessing in disguise?

I shall clutch at those straws :)

Not fussed about Harrison he has been crap this season and DJ can replace him (hope he gets better of course though) just hope Raph is out only briefly if true

From the Athletic

"Premier League players will not be required to have COVID-19 vaccinations for the opening months of the 2021-22 season.

The British government intends that from October 1 all match attendees — including players — would have to prove they had two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

The Athletic understands, however, that while the Premier League will encourage all players to receive the vaccination for the start of the campaign, it will not yet be mandatory and there are currently no specific rules around vaccination.

As the Premier League continues to adapt to the changing COVID-19 situation, The Athletic understands further guidance surrounding safety has also been delivered to top-flight clubs.

For example, it includes confirmation that clubs will continue to conduct bi-weekly tests but will move from PCR to lateral flow tests.

The existing protocols are under review with the next evaluation taking place by October.

I figured out why our performances have been poor this season :duno:

Our "new signing" Adam Forshaw hasn't played yet, how could I have forgot about him ;-)

Maybe Radz can enlighten us about our other new signings, Koch n Llorente

Newcastle players are all gonna be wearing XXXXL size shirts, not tucked into their shorts, to make it easier for our captain tonight ;-)

Decent bit of perspective from Kagey

He also says that some LFC fans have been giving our much beloved (by us) Pascal Struijk, dog's abuse on twitter, they've about as much class as their pikey coach

Our squad isn't strong enough a few key injuries and we're down to our bare bones. We also need to consider player fatigue and form on top of that. We had the enitre summer to really build on the success of last season, but have failed to sufficiently. The square peg philosophy is not really working at the moment, it just leaves us looking further exposed and amateurish at times. We really need to get a result tonight against a poor Newcastle side, irrespective of injuries.
