Wow! I am so proud that I posted this topic. I watched this wonderful young lady during her qualifying for Wimbledon 3 months ago. It was obvious she had something special to give.....but little did I know just how special she was.....cannot believe we have a US OPEN CHAMPION....Oh my word Emma, you did not let me down.......

Young Emma not only became the first qualifier to ever win a major tournament, she played all thre qualifying rounds and all seven of the tournament round without dropping a single set. Virginia Wade was in the house to see it, too.
