.I must deduce from today's decision that if a player is injured in a tackle then the opponent is therefore guilty of reckless behavior and also excessive force. Automatic red card.
3.5 out of 10.

3/10 Poor Ref influenced by the Top 4 side was too scared to upset them throughout the game, Klopp should have been red carded for his antics running onto the pitch, screaming at the ref and fourth official, offering out the West Stand, then demanding the Ref send Struijk off.

At one point in the second half we were down to 10, 2-0 down and a ball came off of TAA's leg for a corner but the Ref gave a goal kick because Van Dijk said it was that said it all for me

I think Pawson was lucky in that the obvious handball missed by him in the 1st half didn’t end up with a goal for Liverpool, it very nearly did which would have been very controversial and total travesty. Poor decision for the sending off in my opinion as explained on the Monday debate thread and two or three dubious (biased in Liverpool’s favour) corner/goal kick decisions. All in all pretty hopeless - shouldn’t expect more than 2/10.

3/10, extra point because I thought he was pretty even in calls first half. Second half it was 10 v 12

Gave Pascal an unjustified red card, that should have been given to that scruffy ba***rd Klopp.

4/10

Allowed the likes of Klopp and VVD to influence his decisions to an unacceptable degree.

2/10 Nobody has said much about the 1st goal looking very offside, is the new rule that you can be onside if you're just a bit offside?

Initially I thought it was too, but the front foot of Firpo is outstretched in his stride, which plays Salah on. Last season it may have gone down to very very fine lines but put it this way, had that been a goal chalked off for us I'd have been livid.

Loved when he booked Almiron for diving as they were really trying it on at the time.

He generally got the calls right with the damaging exception of the blatant penalty we should have had for the foul on James. If we got that it was game over for Newcastle and possibly Bruce.

He did give us one back in not sending of Firpo late on when he deserved to go.

Overall I thought MD did pretty well. I didn’t see the James penalty claim as blatant as some and he let the game flow pretty well.
