Germany is a wonderful place for this game ...

One hour from Munich is the lovely village of Rimsting ...
In North Rhine - Westphalia, not to far from the Dutch border is the small district of Titz, fabulous sense of humour the Germans (no matter what anyone says) one area of Titz is called Spiel Imagine your address as Titz, Spiel (translate it :) )...
Moving to Northern Germany near Bremen & Hamburg you have Wangerland...
People of Wangerland often jump onto the autobahn for a day out in Wankum...
If you fancy crossing the border into Austria, a nice holiday is the town of;

Further into Austria Windpassing maybe a town to avoid it is also twinned with Middlefart in Denmark...

Here's some from the USA.
In Texas. A little community on the beautiful swampy Caddo Lake - Uncertain.
In Indiana. Santa Claus. Guess what the towns theme is.
In Texas. A small town that voted in 2005 to accept a commercial deal with the Satellite TV company Dish Network and change the town's name to Dish.
In Pennsylvania - Deep in the middle of the strange society of the Amish people is the town of Intercourse. I've no idea what goes on there.

Just across the border in Donegal is the delightfully named town of Muff (and yes, they do have a diving club!). This never fails to tickle the schoolboy in me. And not just me, obviously, as some enterprising individual has started making a whiskey there called, I kid you not, Muff Liquor :lol:

I remember when we crossed the States by Greyhound and Trailblazers in the 70's stopping at a place called Truth or Consequences in New Mexico. Always wondered how that name came about. Turns out it was renamed after a TV show. Hooker in Oklahoma also got us excited, but we didn't stop for long enough.

My favorites in the USA:

Bacon Level, Alabama
Bugtussle, Kentucky
Greasy Corner, Arkansas
Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky, which for some reason bills itself as the goose capital of mid-America.
Why, Arizona and Whynot, North Carolina
