Saints have agreed a fee with Blackburn for striker Adam Armstrong.

The 24-year-old has now been given permission to speak to Ralph Hasenhuttl's side, with personal terms not expected to be an issue.

Southampton are looking to sign a new striker after selling last season's top scorer Danny Ings to Aston Villa for £25m last week.

Good player Adam Armstrong, always has been.

I remember floating his name on here when we were after a winger/striker and he was still at Newcastle.

Feeling bit smug now :)

My Geordie mate mentioned him to me about 3 years ago and said he was a good player.

Saints fans not confident about their chances whatsover!

Ward-Prowse suspended so that's their set-piece specialist out plus Che Adams is doubtful.

Sell out for the visit of Leeds at St Mary's.

Saints fans looking forward to the atmosphere created by the Leeds fans.

All the Saints fans around here are expecting a 0-0 because neither teams can score at the moment.

You would assume a low scoring game!

Southampton are not some whipping boys, they had good results v ManU and Man City and only lost to Chelsea because of a red card. I'd imagine they won't be far off Leeds at the end of the season, both clubs in the Wolves/Palace zone of lower mid table.

Saints fans very aware they were playing a very weakened Leeds team

"No doubt we were helped massively by their injuries. They looked like a Championship team without them"

Both looking good, very impressed with Livramento.

Bate had a smashing game v Brighton U23's on Friday evening.

Klich will be look over his shoulders.

A good result for us.

Two fine goals from Burnley's new French signing Cornet

Saints only two victories in their last three games this season.

Thankfully only a point ahead of Leeds after our win at Norwich.

They play good football, they haven't had much luck so far... like us. But it happens. They ain't going down

As Saints did against us, they made Brentford look second rate.

Pontus had a mare!

Che Adams came on & within five minutes scored their third goal

Ward-Prowse Saints MOTM.

7 goals for their young striker Broja since joining the Saints from Chelsea on loan.

How good is Broja?
