Re: Norwich Thread
well they've only sold Buendia so far...
the idea is that the team is more important than any individual and they want to make sure the club is financially secure for the future rather than almost going bankrupt like a 5/10 years ago
I think they'll do ok this season, depending on how the new signings turn out.

Re: Norwich Thread
I appreciate them wanting to be financially secure but they would be more secure if they stayed in the Premier League and as such surely a bit of risk/ambition is warranted (get relegated and sell Buendia).
If a Championship team was live on sky for all 46 matches the tv money would only amount to less than £3.5m. A premiership team gets £12.3m regardless and a further £1.1m extra per match if they appear more than 10 times.
A team playing in the Championship gets £2.084m regardless of league position. 17th in the premier league last season got £8.5m
So realistically finishing 17th in the Premier would be worth £18m more than going down and back up - and that is just on tv and position money - add in commerical income and I think you'd be talking double that if not more.

Re: Norwich Thread
Norwich City's pre-season game against Sheffield United has been cancelled because of a "small number" of Covid-19 cases in the Canaries' squad.
A game against Coventry City was earlier cancelled for the same reason.
Canaries keeper Angus Gunn and midfielder Jacob Sorensen tested positive for the virus last week.

Pending on our personel we'll be the canaries
Really hope so as I've managed to acquire a ticket for that game thanks to a friend.
Fancy having to rely on mates & not LUFC for tickets after no problems following Leeds pre-Bielsa in 55 years.

I'm just glad they're 99% guaranteed to finish below us but unfortunately there's not another 2 clubs nailed on to do just that.

Oops Delia's boys go deeper into the mire.
We better beat this lot at the end of the month, no fannying about at Carrow Road.

I know it's standard for clubs to post highlights after a match but the fact Norwich's twitter had the front to post this made me lol
