Very painful, when I saw the incident it looked like he'd hit a brick wall.....ouch!

Hope De Bruyne makes a swift recovery for his own well-being & with the Euros in mind.

Makes a change for a player to be seriously injured.......far too much rolling about like big girls blouses pretending to be injured of late :(

Its go to hurt that hasn't it. Is Pep destined for the CL? Who would have thought it eh, no European trophies returning to Manchester. Its a good job Brexit is settled..... I think we will see a big money transfer at Citeh. Is it Messi, is it Kane, no its super Haaaaaaaland.

How quick them there Citeh fans turn ... :rol:

'Idiot', 'Embarrassing' - Many MCFC fans think one man is to blame for UCL defeat

After the winning the Premier League and League Cup already this term, it has been a successful campaign for City. However, winning the Champions League remains the club’s ultimate goal, and they had the chance to do just that in Porto. However, they were defeated 1-0 by the Blues following a goal from Kai Havertz in the first half.
Guardiola’s starting XI selection was questionable to say the least. He usually sets his team up with at least one defensive midfielder, but for some reason in this match he chose to select neither Fernandinho nor Rodri, instead lining up with what was effectively six attack-minded midfielders.
Prior to the final, at least one of those two men started 59 out of 60 matches for City this season.
The Spanish manager has been accused of overthinking in the past, and he may have just done that again.
The City supporters were far from happy, and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts.

Let’s see what the fans had to say about Guardiola below
“The lineup that beat Dortmund and PSG should have started today. I just don’t get why Pep did it again? If there’s one thing that is not great about him it’s the fact he tries to be too different. No striker and No DM??”
Credit: @Raza_MCFC
“We all saw it he over thought it again .. out of form Sterling should never have started we saw after ten mins it wasn’t working so change it… holding midfielder should have been on all day to stop kante running the show. Love pep gotta hold his hands up tonight”
Credit: @NaomiD1980
“It’s your fault Pep you picked the team you over thinked again there goalkeeper did not have a save to make embarrassing”
Credit: @mcfc_ste
“Pep literally overthinked again and we lost in the cl becasue of it again, we love pep and we know if pep would go then we couldnt get anyone better than him, so we just have to accept the fact that we are going to play good but we aint winning the UCL under pep it is what it is”
Credit: @MCFCDavid027
“I didn’t know Pep was an idiot”Credit:
@anthonyrziola
“Just change a winning side Pep for the final, that will work! Still angry about it now

Cireh often played with a false No.9 throughout the season, however I felt at the time that playing without a DM against Turcel's formidable outfit was a massive risk. Also surprised Pep started with Sterling.

Yet in the 59 previous games where he started either Rodri or Fernandiho it included 2 recent defeats (out of 2 matches) to Tuchel's Chelsea. So obviously sticking to the same thing that had seen them lose the 2 matches recently to Chelsea was a guaranteed win according to those fans.

If Foden gets his shot off a split second earlier in the first half City go 1-0 up and probably win the game. Small margins in a one-off game. Similar to us in the play-offs to Derby if we'd played them 40 times that season they would have likely only won that 1 game but if it is a one-off game anything can happen, another day and the Cooper/Kiko incident ends with the ball going to safety instead of falling perfectly for the Derby striker (who was only on the pitch as a Derby player had gone off injured).

So thats what Citeh think of Sterling and his 300K a week wages... trying to off load him to the Spuds for Kane... Its ok being able to pay those kind of wages ...untill you realise oops :) ... You better make sure its a long term investment and it wont put others off, especially after giving your hand away that you want him gone.

Ilkay Gundogan donates Premier League bonus to childhood club in Germany; Gundogan helped City to win a third league title in four years; Gundogan will put in vast majority of £258k being paid by Hessler 06 for new artificial pitch.

Gundogan spent a decade at Hessler 06 before moving to Bochum's academy and then into the professional ranks.

"We are still very closely connected to the club, because we spent large parts of our childhood here," Gundogan's manager and uncle Ilhan said.

"When Ilkay heard that many children were withdrawing because there was no artificial pitch, it hit him hard."

I too would have a big heart if i earnt that type of money. As it is i donate unwanted items to charity and after a few beers if i see a homeless person in a doorway i will give them a pound to make myself feel better. None of it ever makes the news sadly.

Manchester City are determined to sign Jack Grealish and Harry Kane this summer.

It was previously reported that it would be one or the other but this isnt the case according to The Athletic.

They feel Harry Kane is the most difficult as Levy may just refuse all offers as he haa done in the past for players.

Sources at City believe a deal for Grealish is their to be done fairly quickly and personal terms may have already been agreed (although other sources suggest he will sign a new deal).

Man City estimate that the cost of both would be betwewn £175mil and £215mil.

To put that in to context even at the bottom end of that estimate Man City would spend more on 2 players than 8 of last seasons Premier league spent on their entire squads.
Signed
