Sergio Aguerooooooooooo

Post by Cjay »

Will leave Manchester City (and presumably England) in the summer.

So where does he rank in Premier league history?

One of the greats?

Has hit 20+ Premier league goals in 6 of his 10 seasons at Man City.

4 Premier league titles.

Multiple Fans player of the years.

Their all time top scorer.

The best minutes to goal ratio of elite Premier league strikers 1 goal every 108 minutes.

The all time Premier league foreign goalscorer with 181 goals.

Over 250 goals in all competitions.

So where does he rank in the Premier League list?

Very high Cjay.

Brilliant striker up to his serious injuries, sadly those setbacks & his age have caught up him now.

I'll never forget Martin Tyler.....AGUEROOOOOOOOO in 2012 to deny scrum the Premier League title 3 mins and 20 seconds into stoppage time. Oh what a moment. The medals were already out at the stadium of light where Scum thought they had won it, I remember Scum players waiting and watching for the city game to end standing on Sunderlands pitch when Aguero popped up in the 94th min .....awesome stuff

I draw the line at using it as a ringtone though, as one National Express passenger did at full volume in my presence. :roflmao: :roflmao:

Not many better that I can think of off the top of my head. The stats Cjay posts say it all, a natural predator and THAT goal in 2012 must make him a cult hero for all Leeds fans!!

I've always rated Aguero highly. He's probably the best foreign striker we've seen. There have been a few other greats, some at the end of their careers and some who haven't put in as many seasons or goals as Aguero. I'd still say Aguero has been the best by any standard. Thierry Henry 2nd.

Not sure I'd rank him higher than some of the domestic strikers though like Shearer or Wright.

Can't see it!

Past his best, there is no way he is going to run his socks off, press, defend from the front, defend at set-pieces or even score as many as Paddy.

I agree with every other word, but this last bit, you sure about that?

The only way he doesn't score as many as Paddy is if he doesn't play imo, even a half fit Aguero in this team outscores Paddy easily.

Thats probably Paddy's weakest area in truth, finishing, i like Paddy but finishing isnt his strong point, certainly not in any clinical way, scores some great goals though.

Aguero outscores him on one leg imo.

But we arent signing Aguero, although knowing Victor and his love for injured players, maybe we are

Lots of "clickbait" flying around regarding Leeds and Sergio Aguero ...At 33 and not exactly injury free the last year or more...I really hope we do not get tempted to invest in him...especially with the salary he wants ...

Can't see Bielsa being too interested. But if he is, mind you, then... :?

Can't see Leeds going for the ageing Aguero, Bielsa requirements are energy & running.
