Think RWB will survive 1 more season with Ayling and Dallas as options?

Ayling for all he is a golden boy and seems a good lad, he has cost us quite a few goals directly by either giving away pens or going to sleep, more than Ali has imo.

Could see Dallas being 1st choice next season on that side?

Ayling more than anyone responsible for that clean sheet, Always in the right place at the right time to close off goals scoring opportunities...Very quietly put in his best defensive display of the season

I'd imagine Ligue 1 will be our supermarket this summer, with Meslier and Raphinha looking bargains. I'd be happy with both Romains.

I agree just meant that this season he has been rarely criticised.

But he has been directly responsible for quite a few goals and may not be as safe as expected.

So what do we think?

Goalie? ×1
Left back? ×1
Am-×1
Cm/dm ×2?
I think out of that it will probably be 3 for the first team and 3 for the U-23's (players that are close like Gelhardt, Greenwood, Summerville, Drameh)

I think Ayling has another year as a starter. He might even be a better captain next year if Cooper slips down the ranks. Assuming we'll be pushing for Europe, and more games every season, I could see Ayling being a decent squad player for 2 or 3 more years. Especially given his ability to cover CB too.

Drameh looks a good player though and might start challenging next year

I wonder if the Pozzos will give De Paul to Watford if they're promoted? :duno:

Sergio Romero free
Romain Perraud £10m
Teun Koopmeiners £15m
Thiago Almada £20m
Kaio Jorge £10m

Plus Harrison £10m

Improves us significantly without breaking the bank.

Not a fan of signing a DM to sit on the bench and play a max of 10 games, just be a waste of money. Koch and Llorente can both play there and keep Kenneh around the squad.

not sure what I'd think about spending 10 mill on JH, rather put it towards a better winger personally...really dipped in performance levels recently

I think it's an obligation, isn't it? Like with Costa.

10M is peanuts at this level, the equivalent of 500K when we were last here and Harrison knows the system and is a great defensive winger. Plus he has moments of game breaking magic in him. Worth every penny

How much would a player of the same ability as Harrison cost?

In that case it seems like a sound deal to do.

If he plateaus, move him on and pocket some profit.

A bench of Harrison/GK/Bamford/Klich or Dallas/Llorente/Rodrigo/Costa/Roberts and Cooper would look good next season .

Mentioned the same previously when we have discussed building our squad with more quality in the summer
