Phil Foden

Post by 1964white »

What a player this lad is?

Incredibly just 20yo, can only get better....world class is the next grade up for this lad

A slight lad playing out of his natural position, upfront for Citeh today

Involved in all four goals I believe, scoring Citeh's 4th

Pundits rave about Grealish, Phil is so much better, has everything in his locker.

Should be a permanent fixture in the England team for years to come!

I wish we'd have signed Foden on loan, ideal for Bielsa's Leeds

We do have some cracking young players. In terms of England we have a very bright future with these kids, i don't sense the ego's like we got with the Gerrard Lampard era. Fantastic powerful shot altho i think Alisson was still replaying his previous 5 minutes of chaos because his reactions were slow.

He should be and I'm sure will be.....unless he invites any more young 'ladies' (well maybe not ladies) back to his and his mate's room whilst in a pandemic team bubble.

A cracking player, no doubt

Hopefully he's learnt a little lesson from that, hope he realises what a future he has ahead of him

Perhaps that's what Leon meant by 'player'

not sure foden is better than grealish, but they're both top quality players (hate to admit grealish is good, but he is v good)

foden, grealish, maddison, sancho, sterling - v exciting attacking mid prospects

Watching all the prem games I'm absolutely convinced he is better than the rest, at least he stays on his feet unlike Jack (look at my mucky kit ref) Grealish. You also have to remember Foden is five years younger than Jack the Lad plus Phil can play right, central, left & as a false striker.

I wonder if Pep will do a swop for Poveda :duno:

Absolutely sublime performance last night at the highest level v Dortmund.

Whenever I see him I always think he looks a right little thug  but what a footballer.

England's best player imo!

Foden is on the same wavelength as De Bruyne, if only he was English too.

Watching this pair in their pomp is just sheer joy.

I reckon both will be on the bench for our visit to the Etihad, I certainly hope so :duno:

They must have some U15's that need game time this weekend?

Hope so Chilli because their 2nd team could hold it's own in the top half of the PL.

How good was Foden v Villa last night?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/56839507

Foden has taken on the mantle of chief playmaker when De Bruyne is absent, unbelievable & he's not even 21yo yet.

Foden is a real un mate, born winner.

Shame we didn't get him on a loan to buy deal a few years ago. Instead we got Harrison and Costa :verysad:

We were heavily linked with Phil when we were in the championship, he was obviously going nowhere!

I do enjoy Jack's work rate the contribution he gives to our team but I doubt Pep will be missing Harrison or Poveda.

Absolutely humiliated Villa single-handedly last night. Shame he's not leaving City any time soon, Bielsa would turn him into Batistuta 2.0.
