Don't know why people seem to be suggesting teams/managers have found a way to negate Bielsa. We saw it in the championship where we'd play sh*t for a couple of matches , not look like scoring etc, but would then sudddenly click back into our way of play. We just have to accept that when 2 or 3 players are off colour, or missing, then the whole machine can fall apart. Hardly a surprise we are a worse team when a £30m+ rated player is out and his replacement would probably fetch £1m to £2m on the transfer market - but equally you can't just have a replacement as good as KP just sitting on the bench.

Pos: Hopefully Phillips as learnt not to pick up a needless yellow card in the dying embers of a game that is already lost.

Neg: We couldn't sign White.

Yes I did. Thought we were sh*te but equally we had quite a few sh*te performances in the championship and could then suddenly go on a good run again. If we play as well as we can then we overcome any tactics/formation.

It wasn't just 2 or 3 players off colour though. I wouldn't mind having Kante in our squad, then we could play two DM's not allowing the opposition CB's to slice through our feeble midfield like a piece of cake :cake:

Just imagine a proper midfield that dictates our play from the middle of the park....dreamtime :)

Didn't think Brighton were all that, we were just ineffective until the later stages of the game.

On us that one!

Positives: Said before but Roberts. And I wasn't worried about Kiko in the slightest, which was nice.

Nevatives: Toothless, not for the first time recently

Roberts looked more comfortable in that role.

I wish we'd cease from playing our players in unfamiliar positions.

The thing is though that if 2 or 3 players are off colour then the rest of the team follows as it has a whole knock on effect.

End of the day if we have a handful of poor performances we still have a lot of excellent performances. That was probably Brightons best performance of the season and they were still broing to watch.

Positive - It wasn’t the first match of the season or I’d assume we’re going straight back down.

Negative - It’s not the end of the season so there is still time yet.

Positive: Rodrigo looks the real deal

Negative: Men against boys performance, out muscled all over the pitch.

Positive: We played better than them in the second half.

Negative: That pitch is killing our style of play and is gifting victories to poor teams.
