I know but that doesn't mean Struijk and Ayling will form a perfect partnership.

20m would be tempting the guy has done so well this season but all those misses over the past few seasons would make me happy to see us cash in on his good form. We need more of a presence in the box

I worry we risk wasting a talented young player in favour of someone who looks out of their depth in this league.

Seriously?

Around top of the scoring charts, January window, British, and you’d take £20m?

He just said that in the post match interview.

Alternatively we risk ruining a player playing him in a makeshift defence

With Brexit coming into play, British players will now cost even more.

If it meant we invested in a replacement yes. Bamford has done great for us and is in great form this season, well beyond anyone could’ve expected, but playing in this team is a strikers dream if they’re prepared to work hard and somebody with a bit more killer instinct and Ariel presence would improve us. 20m would be on the low end, 30m would be ideal but depends on the market. He’s certainly a player who has gained from there being no fans at games

Given the domestic prices quoted In the last 12 months we should be asking £80m.

Rode our good fortune but thats life in this league.

As a team we were superb tonight.

I think we will just have to accept that we will be inconsistent.

We have a loan slot, depending on Llorentes fitness into January Id like them to be finding a CB.

Villa paid £32mil for Championship striker Ollie Warkins

Bamford has outscored him so far.

£50mil is his asking price imo.

Dont forget, the domestic market is mad.

Paddy has done great but id take £50mil

Exactly . Nobody would sell one of the PL’s most prolific strikers for any less.

True, but I’d imagine clubs won’t have a much cash to spend this window. People were saying we over spent on him at 7m only a few months back, 20-30m I’d send him off happily and remember him as a great player for us

As good as Bamford is, can’t for the life of me see any domestic clubs coming in for him.

Brilliant scoreline. Dominated the game and deserved it. Newcastle were pretty poor tbh and can't belive they had us at 2-2. Juts showed our defensive woes again

Front line: Bamford-Harrison-Rodrigo-Raphinha-Klich were brilliant. Our star player, Raphinha's work rate is tremendous, way more than I'd expected of him.

Who's knocking Harrison now? The set up for Rodrigo was great play. His goal was emphatic and reminded me of a Gary Speed goal

KP's corner that led to their 2nd goal was shocking. He had a great game. But we need to get him off corners. I'd use Raphinha on both sides.

Alioski's goal: Did everyone notice how Pablo had 4 players to pick from? That's what we love about this team.

Why would we wish to sell Bamford, he is a very important cog of Bielsa's team, probably one of the first players on the teamsheet

Was about to say the exact same thing, yes he has scored a few goals but a glance at his strike rate would put most off, not many teams create as many chances as us so need ruthless strikers.
