That's why I find it difficult to criticise them because they play with so much courage in possession, out of possession. They stick to their principles and believe in what they do"
We are so much better than the bottom five & the likes of Newcastle, West Ham, etc

Good first half on the ball and off the ball.

Created a few good chances that we wasted.

Looking very comfortably defensively - that is either down to the good marking jobs in the middle by Klich and Dallas with Phillips doing a great job just in front of the back four or Arsenal being very pedestrian in attack/counter-attack (nowhere near as dangerous as Leicester and Palace have been in the last two games in particular. Or a combination of the two.

Let's give our team the credit though and say that this is the best., and least vulnerable, that we have looked all season defensively. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Still attacking in numbers, still good possession but with better defence added to the mix.

0-0 HT

Think Coop and Koch have looked assured, Alio probably the best LWB we have now. Klich offering the most threat around the box, Raphinho has flashed but doesn't look ready for the system yet. Kalvin having a good game.

Would like to see Rodrigo and maybe Costa on at some point
Yeah, solid enough at the back. But Arsenal are not doing anything going forward.

Agree, Raphinha is still learning the system and also blowing a bit for me. I think Costa will replace him and Rodders for Dallas.

raphina maybe a little rusty but sorry to say has been our best player, he needs to stay on a bit more and get rodrigo on in the second half, because we still have a championship team out there, dallas, ayling, aliosky klich all they have done is keep giving the ball away. if we don't score they will nick one believe me

Agree, Dallas been very weak today, must be shattered. A lot of the time when Raphinha did something that didn't come off, he was trying to link up with Dallas who's struggled more and more as the half went on.

Better side and have easily handled Arsenal, look defensively sound .

Downside is we have seen this story before.

Miss chances and get hit on the break.

Klich, Paddy, Ayling and Dallas should have scored between them.

Would like to see Rodders for Dallas, think his movement would help Raph.

Raph needs someone on his wavelength to link with, that isnt Dallas.

Once again we are the best team by a mile (its Arsenal remember) especially the last 20 mins we have battered them. That big but is there tho not taking our chances. Everything is going to plan so far.

I was a little concerned early on that Arsenal were picking up too many loose balls in midfield with Ayling guilty of most of them again, and then looking to counter but we got to grips with it. It always baffles me why we don't do to other teams what they try and do to us? Let them play around at the back, cut off the space in midfield and then when there attack break down hit them on the counter. I honestly think we would score more that way. Using 2 players to chase the ball down can leave us exposed in midfield and then open to the counter.

It just as that feel to the game where Arsenal will get 1 chance and score and it will probably be Eddie. Can't criticize the lads personally i think for a man they have been excellent bar the shooting, but how long have we been saying that?

Kalvin has made the difference in defence, Rodrigo would make the difference up front if he’s on song.

Get him on Marcelo!

Me to worrying that this is almost a mirror image 1st half of the cup game nearly a year ago.

We should have been 2 or 3 up and ended up losing.
