Agbonlahor.

Post by Cjay »

Talksport pundit in saying controversial things shocker

Bless Gabby. :)

We will beat Villa because this is what happens when this sort of thing happens.

Leicester without their best cb, dm and striker plus an unfit Maddison.

Liverpool without Mane and Allison.

Sheffield United had 10 men for most of the game.

Villa have had a good start but very fortunate circumstances to.

Way to fan the flames

Be interested to hear what our Villa friends here think, banter aside i hate it when this happens.

Forshaw did similar last season for us, adds unnecessary pressure.

Wasn't he a member of probably villa's worst top flight side :rol:
Does come across as a bellend.

He was.

He also went nearly a year without scoring a goal.

Was suspended twice by Villa and stripped of the Captaincy (wasnt a young kid then either was pushing 30).

And Villa fans wanted him gone for years, couldn't stand him

Do we really have to give him a voice here?

He's being controversial as instructed by talksport. That's not to say it doesn't come naturally to him. He's always been a wind up merchant and loves giving it the big one - scored against Blues in almost every derby and rammed it down their throats.
I would take it all with a pinch of salt. He's trying to get in to broadcasting, he either says this kinda stuff or they move him on and get someone who will.

Yeah sounds like a phoney shock-value shtick to me. Then again so many ex-player pundits seem to be so clueless these days, even truly great former players like Shearer, that I don't even know a basis for comparison any more.

I did like him tho, laying into Souness when he excused Liverpools 7-2 loss to us on us leaving the grass long with nobody ridiculing him just gormlessly nodding in agreement.
Not denying his getting under the skin approach to punditry but it does counters the sky pundits who all dismiss their former clubs (platt) to fall in line with the sky love in with Liverpool, man utd etc.

Interesting him saying about working as hard as Leeds players. He probably ran less in his whole career than a Leeds player will in 1 match

They asked him a question on talksport following villa beating lpool " have villa taken inspiration from leeds?" To which he replied "no if anything leeds have taken inspiration from villa"

Now they may or may not have taken inspiration from us but the opposite makes no sense whatsoever.

He isnt the brightest button is he

Never was either getting caught doing dumb stuff well after an age where he should.

Tbf to him as you say he is spouting the clickbait stuff Talksport want.

A Villa fan as well saying Villa friendly stuff like he did mentioning Grealish in the same sentence as Iniesta.

Wouldn't want Beckford saying something about Villa though, you wait till after or you may end up looking daft

Nothing but clickbait , just trying to stir the pot. Fairly typical tabloid trash talk
