Both sides were absolutely spent at the end. Some very ragged play. A great draw. So proud of our lads and that was an incredibly hard-earned point.

Not often you see Klich huffing and puffing! I thought the game was crying out for Shackleton, but Bielsa obviously doesn't rate him for some reason.onemoreslogan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 6:59 pm Both sides were absolutely spent at the end. Re: Leeds Utd v Man City - MATCH THREAD
Looking at the stats we had more possession - 52% to 48%, they had nearly twice as many shots - 12 to 23, but we had more than 3 times as many shots on target - 7 to 2. Fair result I suppose at the end of the day but at 7 shots on target to their 2 we could very well have won. Well done lads

Agreed. Few cheeky texts from Jack H tonight maybe, and Poveda. Proud as punch with 7 from 12, with both Liverpool and City played.andrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 6:59 pm I think one interesting note about Bielsa's tactics is the way he defends by putting the opposition (a powerhouse opposition) on the back foot. We struggled with their press in the 1st half. He puts on Poveda and it forces them to drop their press. Fantastic
And Leeds are box office - nectar for the 49ers, QSI, whoever.

Dare to dream.

Yeah, Dallas especially was out on his feet.onemoreslogan wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 6:59 pm Both sides were absolutely spent at the end. Some very ragged play. A great draw. So proud of our lads and that was an incredibly hard-earned point.
I thought he was excellent though.

You look at poveda tonight and you have to ask whether or not we need to spend 25 million on daniel james. Would still like another centre mid though as it only takes an injury to klich to leave us in quite the pickle.

After four games, if Man City win their game in hand they’ll be level on points with us.

Remember when Lee Johnson said Ayling wasn't good enough for the Championship

City fans really are an entitled lot. They're the only ones in the world who watched that game and used the words 'Sunday League', whining about bent refs and absolutely refusing to believe they couldn't be matched by a newly-promoted team.
Re: Leeds Utd v Man City - MATCH THREAD - Roberts & Alioski start, Llorente makes the bench
Coops will know he should have put his boot through the ballandrewjohnsmith wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 6:43 pm I thought that immediately. Not sure why Cooper tapped it instead of putting his boot through it. It was on his right foot but I think it was part of our problems as a whole in the 1st half. We did a bad job of playing out from the back. 2nd half, Poveda gave us that outlet.

Deluded bunch. Still bitter we mugged them off for Povedamothbanquet wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 7:43 pm City fans really are an entitled lot. Seriously though, quite a few of our lads might never have made it without Bielsa, and by that I mean not just get there but look like they belong - Cooper, Dallas, Klich, Harrison, Costa, Bamford, Ayling.
Re: Leeds Utd v Man City - MATCH THREAD
They're hurting. Imagine only drawing with a team that cost less to assemble, than the money you've just spent on 2 defenders this window.mothbanquet wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 7:43 pm City fans really are an entitled lot. It will all come clear in the end
