What a difference this guy has made since the recovery of his serious injury

Superb again today

Screenshot 2021-05-08 19.19.21.png

Diego Llorente vs. Tottenham:

57 touches
33/42 successful passes
9 ball recoveries
5 interceptions (first) :gold:
5 aerial duels won (first) :gold:
2 clearances
1 foul

Seriously impressive performance and made 4 of his 5 interceptions in the opposition half :fire:

No doubt in my mind we'd be challenging for top 6 if he'd stayed fit all season. What a difference he's made since coming in.

There was a time we almost gave up on him and wondered if big money was wasted but he has really shown he is worth that money and more so.

Missed the tackle for the goal, should never have allowed Deli Ali to get that through, he was in perfect position.. I think he's not the best tackler, very good on the ball and better in the air than I thought but has been caught out a few times recently when needing to make the tackle. Looks like Alio thought he should have done better too, he was annoyed at someone.

Looks a DMF/Sweeper in this league to me but we'll see. Very good footballer though happy to have him

Congratulations Diego.

Has been included in the Spain squad for Euro 2020.

Given how few games he has played its testament to how well he has done.

Spain have announced a 2nd positive covid test after Barcelona legend Sergio Busquets.

Unfortunately our very own Diego has tested positive for Covid.

I hope the money the Euros generate for the powers that be is worth this.

Idiots.

I sincerely pray that all the fit young men survive. Please lord allow this tournament to survive, in only for financial reasons alone. ...

Said all along with 64 White.....utterly utterly ridiculous for this tournament to go ahead. Greedy greedy EUFA. Should be ashamed of themselves.

pretty sure most people want normal life to resume and something to cheer for and enjoy over the summer rather than another dull summer...

covid rates are very low now, no reason why we can't get back to some kind of normality

I'm not but a few ex players have died though.

Whether they have or have not (I'm not aware of any) the more that have it the more others catch it and some of them will die while others may not die but suffer life changing illness.

We all know that the numbers show healthy fit people are less likely to suffer long term (not all) but they can still pass it on to others that will.

Englands best chance this comp is the rest coming down with Covid...

Wait for the Olympics , this tournament has nothing on that ......a few European countries compared to world wide participation .
