Re: Diego Llorente
Cooper has a muscle injury too - so now two injured centre-halves.
Last time he was injured (for the Liverpool game ) it was after coming back from international duty.

Re: Diego Llorente
Bielsa
"As for Llorente, he’s healthy. He’s in condition to play. The ideal thing would be for him to play with the under-23s before he plays with the first team because it’s been a while since he’s played now. We will see, we hope we don’t have unnecessary, or a situation where we have to accelerate his process"
"Llorente - similar situation for Pablo, Shackleton and Forshaw on playing with under-23s?
When a player is coming back [?] it helps their recovery. Propose an activity similar to games in the Premier League. Knowing you can manage his game time and the level is a little bit lower. This is the ideal process. Especially when players have repeated muscular injuries. Shackleton, Pablo and Llorente are in this situation. In addition to seeing the player is healthy and the necessity of the team requires him, you may have to call on a player who is healthy, but maybe doesn’t have the sporting level. If you can do it in a more progressive manner it’s better.
The player’s performance will progressively improve while he is playing. This way you can verify whether he has completely healed after his efforts, but sometimes you can do it this way and sometimes you can’t, but always after the player is healthy"

Re: Diego Llorente
Was very rusty yesterday, and that is understandable. Will get better the more he plays.
Re: Diego Llorente
Was limping at the end of the game. Not a good sign!

Re: Diego Llorente
Rusty and not fully integrated into the team/system but you can see he has a bit of class. The limp was hopefully just a bit of soreness, hope to see him replace Coops as he gets used to Marcelo's ways, think him and Koch will make a very solid pairing.

Re: Diego Llorente
Hope the limp was nothing serious because the whispers that he is injury prone still exist and for the greater good we need to get him and Koch settled as a cb partnership.

Re: Diego Llorente
I also think he did alright under the circumstances. As a matter of interest does anyone know why he was being booed every time he got the ball?

Re: Diego Llorente
Being thrown in at the deep end , MB himself said he needed game time in the U23's... he did a fantastic job... as for the Chelski tw*ts ... I think it was a squeaky noise trying to indicate he is injury prone ...not sure but that was my take on it .Byebyegeegee wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 6:09 pm I also think he did alright under the circumstances. Re: Diego Llorente
I also thought he did alright given the circumstances. Tough coming into a game of that level after a couple of months out and no match fitness, not to mention against a team who will be in the top 3 or 4 and stacked with class players.
Re: Diego Llorente
Suffered another setback on Wednesday and hasnt been involved since.
He is becoming another Forshaw at this rate.

Re: Diego Llorente
Sigh. What a waste of money this'll turn out to be. Surely MB can see we need another CB now?
Re: Diego Llorente
Unlikely.
Llorente came with a reputation for being injury prone.
We do love an unfit or injury prone player.

Re: Diego Llorente
If MB sees using blockers at set pieces as cheating would he not see Traore being oiled up the same way?
Proper weird to see that is at a football ground, a grown man having baby oil rubbed on to his arms by other grown men.
Feels like it should be behind a curtain.

Re: Diego Llorente
Llorente was a panic but and at 19m was a complete and utter waste of money could have got a defender closer to home from the championship for that and the best at that too. llorente will not play more that 6 to 8 games for us all season if that
Re: Diego Llorente
Get rid asap. The money Leeds have wasted on unfit players and they continue to make the same mistakes.Scoobychief wrote:Llorente was a panic but and at 19m was a complete and utter waste of money could have got a defender closer to home from the championship for that and the best at that too. llorente will not play more that 6 to 8 games for us all season if that
