The Pencil - RUMOUR
On the grapevine the Pencil is up for sale with several parties interested which could spark a bidding war
Apparently young with upside, stays sharp in the box, can play the HB or H positions as well.
Do we think this is a viable target for those interested and what's the value, would a loan deal suit some better

Re: The Pencil - RUMOUR
Heard it is prone to losing it's edge in the final 3rd and really needs to sharpen up.
Re: The Pencil - RUMOUR
Does it get the lead out often enough to be successful in the top division?
Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.
Re: The Pencil - RUMOUR
Only if its a buy or a loan with an option to buy.
Dont want to loan the pencil, develop it, sharpen it, but then end up having to give it back a better pencil than it was before.

Re: The Pencil - RUMOUR
Seems like the pencil is happy staying in the pencil case and doesn't want to move. Shame as in the right hands he could have been capable of producing masterpieces.
Think we need to move on now and we have been linked with a well travelled crayon that has however had a colourful past.

I understand that it is one of those with a rubber on the end too so it can rub out it’s own mistakes. I’ve also heard that it’s fed up of the low wages it’s getting from Weasel and wants a move away to realise it’s full potential! Might be worth a shot for someone who’s pencilless at the moment!

I'd rather we went with some good quality charcoal, for the money.

Re: The Pencil - RUMOUR
This is a rather blunt rumor, fairly pointless. We should be looking at sharper options

trouble with loan pencils is that often they are too fat and you can't get a good grip on them.

Re: The Pencil - RUMOUR
Brighton rumoured to be interested in the pencil. Rumour has it that their very own pencil, who they have allowed others to play with is now broken . Their broken pencil has even been rumoured to say his existence on the coast is simply pointless.

We need cover in B, not H. Not enough depth.

Hey Moth, was about to say that those wanting an erect vibrant point may be disappointed when the age of 4B is reached.

True, and they're a bit soft under pressure. Less likely to break though!
Re: The Pencil - RUMOUR
Oh come on surely now we are in the Prem we’ve moved away from this sort of deal, especially loans and should be looking at a higher level such as a Bic or really push the boat out and get a Cross Pen

Re: The Pencil - RUMOUR
A friend of mine knows the pencils posh cousin (mechanical pencil) and they told him that the pencil is always breaking down which makes the move pointless.
They should just cut him.
Although Bielsa can probably sharpen him up.

I take your point but really I'd rather have a writing instrument with a more even temperament.Ratscoot » Wed Sep 16, 2020 9:46 am
