Interestingly the majority of phone in and text message fans didn't want Messi to come to Man City (can we have Aguero if he does) at they think he'd be disruptive to the team ethic and who gets dropped

I think that is a legit concern for the fans... I know I would have the same one...given the last couple of years he has had with Barc, not his playing but management disputes.

The Eagles about 8 yers ago filled their team with the best players at their positions, called a super team it flopped monumentally as most failed to fit in.

Fernando Torres was a world class striker, nailed on, going from Liverpool to Chelsea. Couldn't buy a goal for the Blues and that type of thing happens more often than you might imagine. Usually take foreign imports about a season to settle too we may need to be patient on Rodrigo and Koch

First proper reliable update for a while.

David is in charge of the English side of Gianluca Di Marzio's website.

I really hope we get De Paul, not confident though. He has spent all his time in Italy basically carrying a poor side.

He may not fancy a newly promoted side, i can fully understand that but hope he does

Also don't understand why players don't like a challenge till it's too late. Is it because they get judged on the trophies they've won..

Luis Suarez has signed for Juventus.

Maybe De Paul won't go to Juve now

Given that Moreno is 29 I would guess it would be him as he would likely have been born in 91.

I really hope the stories are true. Would love to have a player of that calbre. Just hate being held to ransom by clubs and agents. I'll take Pablo, Rodrigo, or Roberts in the 10 rather than pay stupid money, But I'm all about a guy like RDP if we can do it on the right terms

While it is expensive to us in footballing terms what would you pay for a current International midfielder who got 7 goals and 6 assists for a lower mid table Prem side?

From reading about him last season he was basically Jack Grealish at Villa, a one man team.

What would he cost?

How much would Newcastle want for Saint- Maximin?

Palace for Zaha?

€40mil is less than all 3.

You cant get a bargain all the time, Valencia were a distressed seller, Koch had 1 year left on his deal.

Udinese arent like that and De Paul isnt nearly out of contact.

Sometimes you just have to cough up what people want.

7 goals and 6 assists for us could keep us up, De Paul is worth the risk given his record for an average Italian side.

For me it's the biggest hole in the team right now. Would love to have a player of his calibre. I just wonder about the money. I really think the long term effects of covid will drive down transfer prices. He's a champions league player. If we don't make it there within 2 years we might be selling him for half the price. Again, I'd love to have him but I'm not sure we're a 40 million player club yet. We should probably be looking for 2 or 3 players for that money.
