Well now they have the money from last season. You get it at the end not upfront

Re: Championship 2020/2021
Kinnear said you get a masive chunk up front
Then you get money for being on TV and varios sponsor payments through and the position based payment at the end. Norwich will just have got their position based bonus along with their first parachute payment, £50 million ish

Re: Championship 2020/2021
Spending only £4.5m last summer was the canaries major downfall, just like us they required a bit more quality in their squad & the lack of really showed as they looked out of their depthSmudge3920 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2020 11:01 pm Didn't do em any good last year did it mate... We will be ok ...
Maybe Delia didn't have much dosh, I find that hard to believe though!

I'd almost forgotten her Leon - ALMOST ( )
Re: Championship 2020/2021
Apparently Delia is a good chef, if she ever invited me round to her place for dinner I would take up her invitation as I love good food, we could also chat about the demise of Norwich City
Actually I do think they have a good chance of promotion next season as I rated Daniel Farke as a manager, as long as relegation hasn't affected his thinking & confidence they have to be thereabouts in 2020/21
Re: Championship 2020/2021
They had a poor defence in the Championship and made no improvements. Blunts had a strong defence, which is why they stayed up comfortably. People comparing us to Norwich need to look at our defensive record in comparison.1964white wrote: ↑Tue Aug 25, 2020 10:28 am Spending only £4.5m last summer was the canaries major downfall, just like us they required a bit more quality in their squad & the lack of really showed as they looked out of their depth

Defence is such an important part of the beautiful game. Clean sheets wins games or at least ensures you don't suffer defeats

Huddersfield Town's friendly at Southport is off after a "small number" of staff tested positive for Covid-19.
The Terriers had been scheduled to play the non-league side away on Saturday.
Huddersfield have not said if any players have tested positive.
"The safety of players and staff is absolutely paramount, and after consulting with the EFL, the clubs have come to the decision to cancel the pre-season friendly,"

Both must have played for six or seven clubs on loan now, they'll never make the grade in the prem.
Maybe they quite happy with being loanies so they say they are premier league players, there again greed may come into it as Chelski are paying them a fortune!

All English Football League games will be available to watch from home while matches continue to be played behind closed doors or at limited capacity.
A "flexible framework" has been agreed with Sky Sports to allow all games not televised live to be streamed online.
The EFL says it is a "temporary measure" that will be "subject to regular review" from early October.
Relegated Watford will open the 2020-21 Championship campaign at home to Middlesbrough on Friday, 11 September.
Under the agreement season ticket holders will be able to stream their club's home matches, with match passes also available for a £10 fee.
Supporters of Championship clubs with season tickets will also be able to watch midweek away games.
All match access to season ticket holders is subject to the agreement of the relevant club.
"The overriding objective is to get supporters back into stadiums as soon as it is safe to do so," said EFL chief executive David Baldwin.
"Collectively, it's not our preferred situation but given the circumstances Covid-19 has presented us it gives us a temporary option whilst we finalise our plans for fans returning."
As of last week fans are allowed to attend football in the seventh tier and below football was originally suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic in March.
But for elite sport pilots are required before an intended expansion from 1 October.
Carabao Cup first-round ties not selected for live broadcast will also be available for streaming on a match pass basis.

I wonder what privileges us Leeds season-ticket holders will receive in compensation for our monies paid last February?
