I know that I no longer participate in this due to time constraints, but this album is over 4 hours long.....
I think even the voters with lots of time may struggle with that sort of listening time to 1 nomination..

I really like the Fleet Foxes album as you know but don't see it as a winner tbh, even though it could well be my nomination, as not a great year for me.

Wonderful though it is, I think the Gas one is a bit of a cheat but I am very likely to vote for one of the albums in that box (Pop) as my album of 2000 when that year comes up.

You're absolutely right, of course, Hector. I think the issue is that a lot of Koz fans are not terrifically surprised that these allegations have come up and it's hard to now correlate the beauty of some of his earlier music with the attitude he's displayed in recent years.

Black Keys and Portishead gone. Between Calexico, Martina Topley-Bird and Ceramic Dog, then.

I'm tempted to go for the latter, on the basis that someone else might pick Calexico, but I thought that about the Beta Band last time. Hector is also guaranteed to hate Ceramic Dog, which is always a bonus, but this time I'll go for the one which is likely to find the broadest appeal. It's a relationship breakup album, but I'll let that pass.

Played it a couple of times today, a few tracks were instant, a few more grew second time around, think there maybe a couple i will never be in to but did it enjoy it on the whole.
