Re: Album of 1981 - Azkal and BB to VOTE!
Where to start in 1991, Massive Attack, LFO, Future Sound of London, the Orb, A Tribe Called Quest...
But not going for any of them...going for an album produced by a man in his 20s who introduced a Scottish rock band to house music...and E....

Would have thought it might be 808 State's Ex:el or the KLF's White Room which is a classic

Ex:el is right up the there, had forgotten it in the above list, love Lift, Cubik, Olympic and In Yer Face.
Loved 808 State .
Actually hadn't even named my own nomination, wasn't sure if 1991 was "open", it is of course Primal Scream's "Screamadelica". I'd probably prefer ex:el but think Screamadelica is a more timeless and seminal album.

At last John finds the winning album of 1981 nominating the superb 'The Man With The Horn' by Miles Davis.
I really thought 'Whos Next' would win the 1971 poll for you, not to be but you nailed it this time.
Congratulations John

Re: Album of 1991 - NOMINATE NOW!
Is it OK to join in this poll? -As a latecomer don't want to tread on anyone's toes!
1991 was a fantastic year for music IMO with the grunge scene just taking off here in UK.
So difficult to choose between Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Soundgarden with great albums from RHCP, Massive Attack, U2, Metallica and Primal Scream.
My nomination would be Ten- Pearl Jam, one of my favourite bands, though don't expect it to win many votes!

Think PS has already gone Nick, albeit nominated before the starting pistol was fired.
