He has signed.

Seeing as he is holding up the away kid in the photo expect him to be on the bench at Forest :-D

Never seen the lad play so unsure how good he is but my god we need fresh legs in our squad so hopefully Poveda can make a huge contribution to our season

Welcome Diego!!!!

I refuse to call him Ian because i fear the weight of having such a great name would heap to much pressure on him.

Thing with Ian is we're going to need strong refs because he's going to be bought down an awful lot

Man City have received no upfront fee for Poveda.

Potential add ons add up to a potential fee of £1mil.

City have also added a 30% sell on clause plus if we receive a bid City have to be told and can match it ( but presumably we can reject the bids).

City have NOT included a buy back option which they usually do.

No disrespect to Jordan Stevens, hopefully the signing of Poveda has halted his substitution appearances for the time being

What does all that mean Cjay?

Do Citeh not rate Poveda & were trying to offload before the summer?

Blue Moon forum reckoned he was one of the players to be moved on

Brentford wanted him too. They know a good player when they see one.

Bielsa/Leeds scouted him for the last 12 months. :)

Could mean City dont rate him, doubt it though or why include the sell on fee and the bid matching clause?

Or may just be a compromise given he was out of contract in the summer?

City didnt have much bargaining power.

Also it seems Poveda didnt react well to being dropped back to the u23s, maybe he wasnt keen on City having the option to buy him back?

Quite excited by Poveda, a different type of player to the present midfield selection and should scupper some parked bus tactics going forward. Good bit of business if he can contribute.

Great to get him on the free. But 30% sell on clause? :duno: It's not like they need the money is it?
