Re: U23's 2019-20
Priorities wrong as usual. Probably thinking he's one for future profit as opposed to improving the options for the first team.

I was impressed with Ian last night. Very quick feet and tricky fast movements. He was on the bench for the Millwall game, but now seems to be demoted to the U23 team.

Re: U23's 2019-20
The Conspiracy theorists coming out again. Poveda was probably bought so we had cover - note how many people wanting us to buy a defender just to provide cover. If Costa, Harrison or Hernandez get injured then he will be next man up - this is the way Bielsa operates. Just because he came from City's academy doesn't automatically make him better than the players already here and just because he is behind those players doesn't make him a bad player or someone just bought for the U23s.
At present the only injured player is Forshaw. When everyone is fit then people have to miss out. Doesn't mean that in a couple of weeks we won't have 2 or 3 more players on the injured list and Poveda gets his chance.

Really? Going on recent performances, I very much doubt he will be the next man in. There are other youngsters, more worthy of a chance.weasel wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 12:39 pm The Conspiracy theorists coming out again. IP obviously didn't impress Bielsa when he sat on the bench for 90 minutes and hasn't been near since so I'm not sure your theory holds much ground .weasel wrote:The Conspiracy theorists coming out again. Re: U23's 2019-20
He was on the bench whilst I think it was Roberts was injured. Bielsa has explained his bench selection with 2 attacking options presumably being Roberts and Augustin. An injury to any of the attacking players would free a spot back up again and presumably Poveda would take that spot.

Nice set-piece

Re: U23's games
Superb save from our keeper at the end of the half, especially as he's had little or nothing to do.
Their number 2 looks a decent player.

Re: U23's games
All Leeds atm, keeper pushes one on to the post from a cracking shot from Casey and Gelhardt puts one on top of the bar, in between another save from their keeper.
Re: U23's games
Two really good saves from the Reading keeper to thrawt Casey & McKinstry, probably Casey's first shot in his Leeds career
Gelhardt hits the bar with a looping shot

Reading gain a undeserved lead after poor defending from a corner
Re: U23's games
Did Cresswell go off injured
Re: U23's games
A shambles at the back since Cresswell departed

3-1 now, inexperience showing , they've put their chances away, we haven't.
