Re: Today's Games.
The bus from the black country parks up at the Etihad with Wolves relying on a set-piece & their keeper once again.
Doesn't matter as Citeh raise their game to a different level & smash in three goals in the last thirteen minutes to cull the beleaguered Wolves

Re: Today's Games.
Yes but it's wonderful to watch
Dreading our visit to the Etihad on the 10th April, I'll just sit back & admire the brilliance from both sides.

Justice served, just shows what can be done when you have quality players.1964white wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 10:05 pm The bus from the black country parks up at the Etihad with Wolves relying on a set-piece & their keeper once again.

Re: Today's Games.
Team (squad) limits... 250 million quid...(Prem varying for lower leagues)
Salary caps (Team limit)... 50/60 million quid...
Could reduce ticket prices for the fans... more reliance on sponsorship/advertising...
Any superstars/egoists who refuse to play within the salary cap... show them where the dole queue is ...
Get back to the beautifull fair game...
Winning leagues and cups would still be the same ...but more open

Re: Today's Games.
Oh I am under no illusion it will ever happen, not with the greed involved... but it is only going to get worse... that Euro super league will happen, eventually, if something is not done to redress the balance mate .

In tbe early days games were arranged do people could bet on the outcome.
THAT is what drives the modern game too.

Where ever there is money, there is corruption, just look at the PPE Contracts dished out to the Tory member's mates !
Re: Today's Games.
Getting back to football the two clubs I love to watch are the not so wealthy Leeds United & the extremely affluent Manchester City.
I'll probably watch one of the teatime games today & tomorrow but it wouldn't bother me if missed them.
