Ye, 64 like alot of Robin Trowers output gets abit overlooked for his similarity to Hendrix, but there's alot more to him than that and still doing it I might add.

I like In City Dreams.
Also BLT, his collaboration with Jack Bruce and Bill Lordan.

Ah now you're talking! Slayed & Sladest probably my fave Slade albums and I have everything they ever did. Nods voice undoubtedly one of the best ever in rock history .Muppet the Cat wrote:Currently the classic Slade 'Slayed' - track 2, The Whole World's Goin' Crazee

This pretty much sums up their chart career 64 but a decent and not too heavy studio album is Rogues Gallery , if you like it heavier their last one You Boyz Make Big Noize is a rockin finale for the original line-up but as an avid fan of theirs imo all their albums are a great listen when you like that sort of thing.1964white wrote: Never bought any of the Slade studio albums on vinyl or CD, maybe I should put that right.

Absolutely. They had basically split up by then and hadn't played together for ages but Ozzy had to pull out of Reading and Slade got a call to stand in for him. Some stand in ! They blew the place apart which then kick-started another wave of success for them.gessa wrote: Reading festival 1980 they stole the show.

Bob Vylan - We Live Here.
Fantastic, anti-racist, grime/punk/hardcore track. Not heard a better song this year and don't expect to. Won't be everyone's cup of tea and not for the easily offended mind.

More on the mellow side but this has been on constant rotation the past week or so.
Billie - this might be up your street.

It's a 12" single. Only thing they've done so far. Hoping there's more in the pipeline. They're a collaboration between Binker & Moses (jazz duo) and Simon Ratcliffe of Basement Jaxx.
