Struijk, whilst probably the best we have at DCM who’s not injured at the moment, is a long way short of what we’ve come to expect from Kalvin Phillips. He had a reasonably comfortable game today because there was very little press from Wolves. But don’t be fooled, in my opinion, his positioning and game reading is a long way short of what it should be in that position. Struijk is a very capable central defender but he is in no way a perfect substitute for Kalvin in that position full stop. Hopefully Phillips will be back for the Norwich game and we’ll be able to get square pegs in square holes again.

Have we ever tried them both together in midfield?

No we haven't, would give Phillips a licence to get forward more.

Bielsa has confirmed that Phillips wasn't injured and it was a tactical change.

I am getting a very worrying feeling here.

After the interview last week and now this

I didn't understand the tactics this week of having KP in defence, it made sense vs Spurs but today it felt like Bielsa making a point to KP.

Agreed there is defo something amiss and it is poisoning the squad. Trouble is once you fall foul of Bielsa there is no way back it seems.

Kalvin was playing ok till the substitution, Llorente had the stinker I thought with Cooper not much better. Dallas better on the left but Shack was poor

Even the commentators thought he was injured. He did look flat today. I would feel alittle aggrieved making way for Forshaw. Lets hope its not another Pablo situation.

I dont think Bielsa will have taken kindly to KP questioning our game management last week.

We know how MB is whenever his methods are questioned.

So to make a point Bielsa deploys KP in the same role as he did last week tonight.

It was a strange decision because Kane drops so deep it made sense to have KP a player who is used used operating further forward marking him, Maupay is different and therefore it wasn't necessary but Bielsa did it anyway.

KP didn't look happy either and to me seemed frustrated hence why he gave away the most fouls I think.

May be nothing but the entire episode rings alarm bells

Bielsa says he took KP off for tactical reasons and yet never explained them.

Tbf we did play better 2nd half but KP isn't happy it's fairly obvious. One or both will be gone next year but in the meantime it may just be the catalyst for player revolt because that's what happens.

Simply another England hangover for KP. Playing a totally different way for England and then can't seem to get back into the Leeds way. We have struggled against Potter teams in theback so I think it was more likely Bielsa trying a different formation rather than laying down the law to KP. The main difference for KP playing for England is that the majority of matches England play they are head and shoulders above the opposition, playing for Leeds we have to be at or best every week and we aren't playing teams hugely inferior to us.

If KP joins Liverpool in January I won't be shocked.
