At long last we've made the most exciting signing in many years with the signing of Barry Douglas who was the best LB in the championship last season
Douglas is a tremendous coup for Leeds United

Absolute belter.
Get Vydra and Bamford and I'd say it's a successful window. Assuming we will be looking at the loan market for a cb but who knows?

£3m for a back up for LeBock seems a bit excessive

I did say we'd end up playing the U23's many months ago
Another crock bites the dust

Doesn't particularly worry me. As the old saying goes... if you're good enough you're old enough.

Why are we happy about this?

Barry Douglas hasn’t impressed me in a number of our recent games compared to his early season form, it makes me wonder if they’ve been playing him with a muscle strain for a while and it’s got progressively worse.

I would think so Rich as Douglas has been really poor of late
This is what happens when you have such a slim squad in one of the most demanding leagues in world football
Players being pushed to the limit, tired legs, square pegs in round holes.

I don't buy tired legs argument as Alioski probably runs more than anyone, has played more matches than anyone, has also played every international match and yet his form in the last few weeks has improved.

Wolves fans said he was poor defensively and slow. He's overhyped because he can score a few free kicks, but his accuracy has been dreadful this season. He should have scored v Boro and Forest given the position and he's missed two open goals. Struggling to see what makes him such a good signing tbh.

This
He is basically a lesser Ian Harte who aside from 1 season playing with players superior has spent his time in places like Scotland, Poland and Turkey.
Bit like BPF and others Wolves style of play probably largely covered Barrys defensive issues because he was rarely asked to defend. When promoted Wolves realised they wouldn't be able to dominate games so much so sold him.
That being said i think he has been disappointing for the hype, expected more, although to his credit he said he had been poor. He is good when going forward, picking a pass, but defensively he really does struggle and i think that may be why Ali has been playing left side more.
Actually think Alioski is a better all round left back.
