I've always supported Luke during the past couple of years. When people were saying "he's all over the place"...."Ayling is crap"....Ayling should be dropped"...."he's never in the right place" but for me, the guy always gives his all....never more for our club than now.

I think he's on a personal mission to get this club into the PL . The team has a few now who have picked up the reigns to drive us over the line. Great stuff !!

Part of the reason that Bielsa's attacking philosophy also works defensively is that when players like Ayling burst forward they have players supporting them so that we don't lose the ball and have him out of position.

Explains a lot of Dallas’ success, too.

I have followed this game closely for over 45 years, and have learned as much watching Bielsa these last two years as I did in the first 40.

Ayling was brilliant yesterday. I will remember that goal a very long time.

Me too Swannie  always been a big fan of Luke, massive player for us. I despaired in the past when I've read the likes of Ayling & Pablo should be dropped.

In Ayling & Dallas we have the best two wing-backs in the championship

Bristol City fans would take Ayling back in a heartbeat.

Great point John we've all learned football how it should be since Bielsa's arrival

What a first goal to see live, you won't forget that one John

Re: Player Profile : Luke Ayling

Luke Ayling has been immense since the Forest game, almost felt like he single handily turned around our fortunes in some games and since the restart he has been great yet again. Players like Pablo and Costa will rightly take the plaudits for their performances last night but Ayling was a vital cog as ever. Much of what we do going forward is down to Luke, he set’s off attacks by playing the balls that unlock the space. He was involved in four of our goals last night, two directly with direct balls forward and two more indirectly by switching and dictating play.

30 passes for Pablo's goal, the 29th from our No.2 was the key pass that carved Stoke open...
