However something IS bubbling under at our club...either an aggressive take over bid, or serious investment. And no - that is not "info" from wacko or twitter.
Don't hold your breath tho. Bates will screw it up.
How can it be an aggressive take over bid? We are not publicly listed.

Well Bakerboy, don't be getting too excited at the prospect because at this stage it is just a huge rumour. And at some point people will start taking that rumour as a fact and then be disappointed that it didn't happen.

The one thing which makes me extra cautious, is that Sky (News, Sports etc) and the various Newspapers seem to have nothing on this, and they love to grasp at some of the most groundless rumours to fill web pages and print articles.

What an indictment - our rumours are so sh!t that even Sky don't broadcast them!

No smoke without fire, but so many people want Bates out any rumour of him leaving will gather pace fast, we can dream though.

To be honest i don't pretend to be in the know when it comes to this sort of thing but just putting 2 and 2 together and getting 6 would it make sense that Ken was waiting for the ruling that we didn't have to pay the 18 plus million which has now been wiped out, Thus making the club instantly more attractive and lucrative for him to get out now? :?

Please let it be true. :)

It's a long weekend here in the US but the speculation has merit there are at least 2 parties in for LUFC one North American (unknown) but not MLSE (though they were in earlier this year and also previous to that), the 2nd party is middle eastern but not Saudi according to my sources.

Reasons as to why bates is willing (or more appropriately forced) to sell are financial difficulty the mortgage on ST revenue has clauses and it is believed one or more of those have been triggered by the massive drop in ST renewals and the loanee's are calling in the loan which effectively makes LUFC insolvent, additionally LUFC are expecting a very adverse decision in the upcoming ruling from the 2nd Levi court case.

Knowing bates he will be willing to risk LUFC but he also has used personal guarantee's so can't just walk away as usual.

You know what's really sad?

Ken will have someone scanning the internet forums and reading him out the best bits, because he loves it! He'll be seeing how keen we are to be rid of him, he'll play out the tension by keeping quiet for a bit, and then pop up to say 'I'm still in charge!'....
