I guess we should use this game as a glorified pre season friendly, and try to get players back to match fitness

Rod Stewart and Ron Wood look like somebody ordered the same rock star in two different colours.

Snodgrass & Gradel away on international duty, would like to see Sam and Lees start and perhaps a 442 formation.

No Snoddy, Gradel or O'Dea because of international call ups.

Agree that maybe it's time to give Bessone a go, though I expect Parker will get the nod. O'Brien definitely needs more match time as he looked completely off the pace at the weekend. Sam to come in for Snoddy and Nunez on the other wing would be my call, unless we sign another winger (Mendy?) before the game. Possibly try a 442 with Paynter and McCormack on, and probably drop Brown and play Howson and Clayton in the middle.

I wonder what the Scotland coaches will make of Robbies conditioning, who else do we have to play on the left? White and Gradel away I'd like to see Nunez play off Paynter,

I know I don't have to be told twice

I prefer Nunez in the middle but if we are now out of left sided midfielders then I guess we have to square peg round hole again

Haha, sorry about that, must have not realised there was another post while I was writing it! Nunez seems a pretty similar player to Max from what I've seen of him, quick feet and pacey. Likes to cut into the middle to shoot as well, so I think he's probably the best bet from the stock we have at the moment...

The players and fans need a confidence boosting win. I'm sure Larry will put as full a team as possible out. With so many of our wide players away on international duty I wouldn't be surprised to see the 4-3-1-2 with which we finished last season.

Lonergan

Connolly Kisnorbo O'Brien Parker

Clayton Brown Howson Sam

McCormack Paynter

Tbh the squad is so paper thin there isn't alot of options. I do think we need to stick to the nucleus of the team that played at Southampton as several players need games from a fitness point of view

Must admit to having no interest in this match except for training, formation options and confidence building.

I'm usually a very positive person but we really need to find a settled team this season.Possibly not bringing in new talent might be a blessing in disguise.

SG tinkered too much with the squad last season.

We need Becchio back !! When is there a return on the cards for him ??

I would go with that except put Grella in for Paynter...i never want to see him play football for Leeds ever again...

It's a toss up I know but I feel Bessone may turn out to be a better player than Parker,

Grayson said on YR today that Parker would probably be starting.

Is Poleon registered? If so I'd love to see him get a chance. Classy kid.

I'd have the Turner Twins in place of Bessone and Clayton tho....

I'd agree if SG has long term plans for them this season, but no point if it's one game and back to the academy.. either SG's record on using "the kids " is appalling or they are/have been...who was the last regular first teamer to come through from the juniors?

Hope the current violence doesn't esculate in Leeds or tonight's game could be in jeopardy !
