Gandi, when I checked my ITV7 it said that the 3.35 at Sandown was cancelled. Does that mean there was a result or not. Not sure what cancelled means or why :?

Strange one, this. My bet was voided on this race, but I watched it live, and it ran without problem, other than Houblons Des Obeaux who collapsed and died from a heart attack. Turns out the stewards had decided that as the stricken horse was being treated in an awkward area of the track, they decided to abandon the race. Unfortunately, none of the jockeys saw the yellow flag telling them to pull up, so carried on with the race. The seven jockeys who completed, were handed out 10 day bans which means they miss the Xmas fixtures, and the race was voided. For me, the race finished, so I computed the results accordingly. Nobody got the winner btw. If anyone disagrees, I will amend the totals.

I'm sorry that my suggestion will mean more work for you, but I reckon we should get our money back :)

You will have to argue that one with BB - She had two big places in that race.

Oh I could never win an argument with BB :-D

Seriously though I hadn't looked that closely to see if anyone was paid out for places.

I see now that Azkal also got a return on that race

Either way is fine by me.

Always sad when a horse loses its life :( , and in this case was my pick.

Personally, I think the official decision was race cancelled and jockeys got bans then the race should be void and stakes returned. But happy to go with the flow (not wishing to complicate things and give you more work Gandi).

Sad to hear the death of Houblon Des Obeaux, a horse I've often followed in the past, a 12yo handicap chaser who had won eleven races including three graded contests

Houblon's trainer Venetia Williams, her stable staff & the owners must be terribly distraught

RIP Houblon
