Yes Leon.
Saw it absolutely hack up at Chester in May.
But I was concerned about the ground today. Didn’t need to be tbh.

Really nice bet, Jay.

All I can do is applaud tipping like that.

Looking at the form of recent three victories, he loves these type of races, winning the Chester Vase & the Northumberland Vase & close up in the Irish Cesarewitch. Nothing fluky about that tip, mate.

A 1-2 for apprentice jockeys Jamie Powell & Sean D Bowen, pleased for young lads.

The way two of the top jockeys rode their mounts in the earlier races did my head in, never gave their horses a chance. :(

Thanks Leon.
I just leapt about the room a little bit when the photo was announced!
The actual trainer is AJ Martin (banned atm) and you know how shrewd he is.
Yes cracking rides from the first two.
Have to say I was massively impressed by Shadow Of Light in the Dewhurst. Shame the O’Brien horse wasn’t there but still. 8/1 for the Guineas. That seems generous to me.

Buick rode SOL well to win, wasn't too impressed with him on Silver Peak.

Appleby/Buick's filly Desert Flower was very impressive yesterday.

Yes, Hyperchromatic ran really well in an all-weather affair, his trainer was bigging that run up after his race.

I like the Bolti/Ghiani combination.

Nightmare for jockey & connections of Alphonse Le Grande.
Probably both will be dsq for breaking the whip rules. Essentially 1 time too many. Allowed 6 and he was 10 and if 4 or more over its dsq for both horse & rider.
Punters unaffected these days as every bookie is first past the post. Oh hang on is Cat 🤣

I feel sorry for connections who pump the money in. One flick of the whip has cost them 100k plus.
Racing has got it wrong again for me. Of course they are protecting the horse but still..

I shall expect all out attack next week 😁

Jill will also be on the attack too, especially as her horse was beaten by a neck in the photo finish.

She hates it when a jockey uses the whip at all.

I'm saying nothing, hopefully she doesn't read these posts.

Of course, it was a nose. I thought Manxman had got it on first viewing.

Hopefully she doesn't read anything about it, the less she knows keeps her calm.

So did I.

I watched it back and it didn't look excessive at all.
How many of the stewards have ridden professionally?
For me its a terrible rule. Badly thought out. The jockey probably miscounted but we simply have no idea what it’s like to ride in a race.

Taking today's honours is, Foxy , who landed a massive 33/1 winner in the Cesarewitch   (although given that the jockey beat the poor animal to within an inch of its life (and is therefore likely to be disqualified) with his excessive use of the whip :( ....morally I should be giving the win to Mrs64's pick !!)

Profit also for Nick and 64

Losses for Az, myself and Mrs64 :(

Next Saturday will be the last day of the Saturday Flat Season Comp and Foxy goes into that with a healthy lead of +£135 over the field.............so it will have to be a bad day of epic proportions for him to miss out. However, lightning could strike twice ;-)
