Too late to impliment now, but come the new jump season we adopt a stricter rule
And what if it is impossible for someone to play? Personally, I was in the arse end of nowhere most of today and lucky to get a mobile phone signal let alone be able to use a smart phone.
However, I do take the point that a punter could stay comfortable by simply not playing - but just taking the £25 hit each time will mean a similar outcome

It's a difficult one Gino & i appreciate it is impossible some days for folk to participate. I may have a problem when we go away on holiday for two consecutive racedays but i would be prepared to accept a penalty as i could find myself top of the table on my return if all the participators have a couple of nightmare punting days without risking any of my stake money, just doesn't seem fair to me !
I hear where you are coming from Leon, it's a fair point but at the same time i do think we have to remember that this comp is meant to be a bit of fun. So i personally think it's harsh to penalise people who are out the country or have places/functions to attend. Therefore I would leave things as they are.

I agree, Gurj. It is only a bit of fun. Unfortunately, Chester was a tipster's nightmare - Not one favourite came in on the 1st day, and it wasn't much better on days 2 & 3. That's how it goes occasionally - I am following my tips with real money, so I am doubly despondent at the moment.

64 hits paydirt with a 25/1 winner in his last race, to take today's honours. Gurj increases his lead at the top with a nice profit. BB came 2nd in the profit league, including a fantastic 20/1 winner, and with Gino also doing well, the bottom two climb nearer to the rest of us. Rab and I also join in the profit fest, with only Mrs 64 making a loss. Gurj has the choice of venue next Saturday.
