MC5/Ramblin' Rose [could easily pick all 6 from the most exciting record I know]
The Clash/The Call Up [up 2, 3, 4]
Gang Of Four/Anthrax [paint stripping feedback from Leeds' finest]
Neil Young/Like A Hurricane [from note one you just know you're in for a roller coaster guitar ride like no one before or since]
Major Lazer/I'll Make Ya [Hired gun rides into town and kicks off a truly astonishing album from which I could have chosen all 6]
Buzzcocks/Moving Away From The Pulsebeat [only punk band to come close to The Clash - their finest moment].

Oh you dark horse Gino. First version... WOW loved it. My version I downloaded about 10 years ago and can't find it on Youtube anywhere and I don't know how or if I can post it in here  Now to your second version... first thing I've ever heard from Nils Lofgren, what can I say apart from it was simply beautiful, blew me away :-D I'm a sucker for guitars and that was breathtaking in fact I felt tears pricking  I learnt to play Spanish guitar many years ago 8-) :bear:

I just love Lofgren and have seen him play many many times in a band and solo setting - he blows me away each time. There is a longer version of Like A Hurricane on YouTube with some phenomenal acoustic guitar playing.

I also think he has a wonderful voice and - whilst he has written many lyrically-beautiful songs - these two bring out my handkerchief.

I saw Lofgren at Leeds Uni, on the "Cry Tough tour"...very nice and laid back evening. Not much more to say about him.
Totally eclipsed by Robin Trower playing "Bridge of Sighs" there, a week or so later...power and ROCK! :-D

The only cover of Like A Hurricane worth having is by Young himself. This is acoustic but still retains the all important edge which is so much a part of Young's music and which is completely missing from the Lofgren cover for me. You pays yer money I suppose :?

My second choice, takes me back to my metal days, the early Iron Maiden with Paul Di'anno on vocals really were sensational and very underrated....won't get much support on here though I suspect...

lovely song Telepres. Only got into Adele recently and only have her 21 album. Just googled this track to see it is from 19. I must say I absolutely hated Chasing Pavements and still do and that's probably why I overlooked the album 19  :bear:
