Police - Outlandos D'amour
Kraftwerk - The Man-machine
Devo - Are We Not Men? We Are Devo!

Not my first choices, but good additions to the poll. Just thought I should pop in after getting an E-mail on my phone from '64

Squeeze (self titled)

Poll 2:

Curtis Mayfield - Do it all Night

Thanks Nick.....Gino has already nominated 'Hear My Dear' which is really encouraging that the best soul album of 1978 could actually win Poll 2

Hear My Dear is one of four 10 star albums by Marvin Gaye during the 70's 8-)

Ha, that's what I get for being late! No dramas, Leon, I'll stick with 3 and 1

The term 'genius' is grossly misused, imo, but it certainly fits Marvin. And Curtis, for that matter!!

Tom Waits - Blue Valentine
Neil Young - Comes A Time

3 and 2 on the nominations? I dropped about 15, and luckily 6 of them have been nominated by others. You got Pere Ubu  What did you drop? <curious> :duno:

Confused you, those are my three favourite albums which I have nominated, unfortunately I can only vote for two of them in Poll 1

I was hoping someone would nominate at least one of those above

Rules are you can vote for 4 albums in each poll but where you have nominated 3 albums say in Poll 1 you can only vote for 2 of your albums in that particular poll therefore I will only be in a position to vote for 2 of the three albums I nominated in Poll 1.
I will probably drop the Neil Young album in the voting process even though it is my 3rd favourite albums out of all the albums that have been nominated !

Thought this album would have got nominated.

The best support band I have seen, supporting Sabbath on their Never Say Die tour.
Went to see VH on their own tour as headliners later and they also had a superb support band called St Paradise who had a major fallout while on tour and split up shortly after, shame because they were excellent.
The next best support for me were Thunder supporting Aerosmith,2 great live bands.

Who else remembers some great support bands?
It will all come clear in the end

Saw a little band supporting DreamTheater in 2000 - they were called Porcupine Tree - they were splendid. 8-)

Again, Pain of Salvation supporting DreamTheater

Webb Wilder supporting The Georgia Sattelites - only gig I have ever left before the end because TGS were poor, very, very poor in comparison to their support act.

The Pineapple Thief supporting Blackfield.

Primus supporting Rush

I've got lots...
