Thanks Nick.....Gino has already nominated 'Hear My Dear' which is really encouraging that the best soul album of 1978 could actually win Poll 2
Hear My Dear is one of four 10 star albums by Marvin Gaye during the 70's
Ha, that's what I get for being late! No dramas, Leon, I'll stick with 3 and 1
The term 'genius' is grossly misused, imo, but it certainly fits Marvin. And Curtis, for that matter!!

3 and 2 on the nominations? I dropped about 15, and luckily 6 of them have been nominated by others. You got Pere Ubu What did you drop?
Confused you, those are my three favourite albums which I have nominated, unfortunately I can only vote for two of them in Poll 1
I was hoping someone would nominate at least one of those above

By your own rules mate You CAN vote for all 3 in poll 1??? Three in poll 1 and two in poll 2???
Rules are you can vote for 4 albums in each poll but where you have nominated 3 albums say in Poll 1 you can only vote for 2 of your albums in that particular poll therefore I will only be in a position to vote for 2 of the three albums I nominated in Poll 1.
I will probably drop the Neil Young album in the voting process even though it is my 3rd favourite albums out of all the albums that have been nominated !

AHH - penny drops - VOTING! Have you nominated yet? This poll stuff goes so fast!
The best support band I have seen, supporting Sabbath on their Never Say Die tour.
Went to see VH on their own tour as headliners later and they also had a superb support band called St Paradise who had a major fallout while on tour and split up shortly after, shame because they were excellent.
The next best support for me were Thunder supporting Aerosmith,2 great live bands.
Saw a little band supporting DreamTheater in 2000 - they were called Porcupine Tree - they were splendid.
Again, Pain of Salvation supporting DreamTheater
Webb Wilder supporting The Georgia Sattelites - only gig I have ever left before the end because TGS were poor, very, very poor in comparison to their support act.
The Pineapple Thief supporting Blackfield.
Primus supporting Rush
I've got lots...
