Re: Today's Games
Grealish diving to win a pen vs Villa after all those years Villa fans defended him is lovely irony

Micheal Beale does a Bielsa and allows Partick to equalise in the cup game after this happens:

Re: Today's Games
Jesse was badly lacking pre World Cup. But the board persisted with him, wrongly in my opinion. The four week break would have allowed a new coach time to work with the players, also, we wouldn't have been seen as such a desperate club to get somebody in as we do now.
Re: Today's Games
Why on earth did Kalvin Phillip's want to go to Man City. On the bench again today, City 3 - 0 up, he doesn't get on. 3-1 up and 3 subs later he still doesn't touch the pitch. Some move its turning out to be for him.

Re: Today's Games
I think pre world cup Marsch still had enough support here to say you were probably an exception. Weasel too. Most of us were prepared to watch and wait which is not a bad thing at all... This was always likely though, managers preparred to come in mid seasons are usually recent failures. Good ones are likely to be going well with their current club. We not yet the gold star of clubs managers want to managewhiteswan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 12, 2023 6:35 pm Jesse was badly lacking pre World Cup. But the board persisted with him, wrongly in my opinion. Then there's fan bias, likelihood being anynew manager not winning everything already is likely to be wanted out before he even sets foot in Leeds ... We'll overlook potential due to bias as fans... "He's no good he played for "insert club here"
I'd be ok with Stevie G for the remainder, Skubala has showed promise, but has got the subs wrong up to now, no clue who the ex-Ajax guy is
But whomever, like Marsch, I'll hope for the best rather than hope to see him fail

Re: Today's Games
Was thinking exactly the same. It seems like a really bad move that he made. Why on earth move to another club if you aren't going to get much game time, he cant have been that stupid ( maybe badly advised ) so was it just down to money, did he become too greedy ?
Re: Today's Games
Regarding KP,I'd rather be a superstar in a team than a bit player sat warming the bench no matter how much money is involved.

Re: Today's Games
Man City need to move on from Rodri for KP t osee meaningful time, or an injury. DMF/Holding mid is not a position that would come off the bench much even for a run out. Pep rides his DMF's, seldom rests them.

I don't think I was the exception to be honest. There were others who were starting to worry.....
I was happy at first when Marsch was appointed, I really wanted him to do well. We had a unique guy in charge, and I was hopeful. But unease started to set in very early on this season, I couldn't put my finger on it but things just weren't quite right. Was I wrong? No win since October?
I don't care which club/s the next manager has managed before, it could be Mickey Mouse Utd for me, as long as he is the right guy for Leeds United. Let's not beat about the Bush here and lets be very clear, this football club is in a bit of a mess at the mo. On recent results we are heading down. Hopefully the new appointment whoever he is can turn things around, and he will get my full support, just like Jesse did, until he becomes a very obvious liability.....just like Jesse did.
But we are beginning to look very desperate to find someone now, almost anyone, which was partly my earlier point, had we acted earlier on Jesse, we may have secured the appointment we desired.

Re: Today's Games
Thank You Swan ... Not saying you were wrong, just the majority were prepared to give Marsch time. From my PoV I still say it was a mistake to sack Bielsa..

Re: Today's Games
We could really do with a Liverpool win, and a good one at that. But they are not going well themselves and if you want to go into a derby against a team not in form then Everton couldn't ask for a better time.

Fantastic pace in that counter-attack for the Liverpool goal.
Everton have to come out and play now.
