Re: Today's Games

Bad position to be in, the Dyche card played and it hasn’t worked - he’ll be out the door soon I’d expect, then what?

Re: January transfers and squad discussion

Pablo felipe joins West Ham for 21 million, I really hope he’s a dud, scored 10 goals in 13 games this season in the Portuguese league.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Friday 2nd January) - Leeds earn hard fought draw at Anfield

Man Utd looked dreadful vs wolves the other night, there was very little about them, had no identity and barely looked like a team. I really hope that’s the version we get and then not having Ampadu might not be a problem - despite how s**t they’ve been the last few years we havnt managed to beat the ...

Re: Liverpool v Leeds United Match Thread

People talk like Farke wasn’t to blame for the patch of awful results we went through - most on here called it, that tactical changes were required rather than thinking we could play how we did in the championship. A change of manager it was argued would give new perspective and tactics. Now t ...

Re: Liverpool v Leeds United Match Thread

Get gnonto and DCL on, Liverpool look frustrated now and have lost the control they had in the first half.

Re: Liverpool v Leeds United Match Thread

Decent half that given the lineup up. Takes a lot of concentration to maintain this though. Could be in for an interesting second half if Liverpool score first - we’d have to have a go at them then.

Re: Liverpool v Leeds United Match Thread

I’m sure Farke was tempted to just go for it with 4-3-3 but he needs to keep an eye on goal difference when it could end up been really tight towards the end of the season. Cant see this team keeping Liverpool out for 90 mins though but we live in hope.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 31st December) Mutual termination on the cards for Meslier

Feel a bit for Mes he is a good keeper, just prone to the odd mistake - his time at Leeds is clearly done so it’s in the interest of all parties to sort an exit for him so he can build his career back up. We must utilise the loan spots in January, I’m guessing they were saved to help with rec ...

Re: What game will our unbeaten run end in January? - Poll of the Day (30th Dec)

Liverpool, we’ve come on leaps and bounds in the last month or so but realistically you would not expect us to get anything away at Liverpool, it’s a free hit and the result shouldn’t knock us off course. Not sure on Man U game, as bad as they can look at times they always seem to find a performance ...

Re: How many players will join LUFC in Jan 26 (perm or loan)

I’ve gone for 1 but it could easily be 0 - if the messages from the club post the summer window were to be believed we don’t have any money. Farke takes a while to integrate new players and I’m not sure he’d sanction exits from his trusted group to free up money. So 1 loan centre back would be my gue ...

Re: Sunderland v Leeds United Match Thread

Just hope we can get a point or two from these next 2 games that gap to West Ham could easily be down to 1 point by the end of the week, they have 2 very winnable games.

Re: How many signings + what positions are required in the January Window? - Poll of the Day (23rd Dec)

If 3-5-1 is to be the preferred starting formation which I think it should be then I don’t think wingers are necessary, JH is going nowhere and we have Gnonto and James. We need a DCL type striker and the elusive number 10. Not sure we can sign anyone without outgoings though, I’d be reluctant to sel ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 23rd December) Harry Gray's contract a cause for concern

We have to play Wolves, Burnley, Forest and Fulham at home so there's no reason why we can't get 12 points from those games. Couple that with the 19 we already have, we would potentially only need another 7 points from all the other games to stay up. Lots of ifs and buts though. Long way still to ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 23rd December) Harry Gray's contract a cause for concern

The togetherness of this squad could get us through, it’s testament to the players that over an awful run there was never any sign that the players had given up or were not playing for the manager - whether we go down or not no one can fault the players effort, they have given us some fantastic g ...
