Re: Leeds Utd v Burnley Match Thread - Pascal Struijk replaces the injured Liam Cooper

Take the two extra points from today, if you feel it should have been a draw, and add it to the two extra points we should have had against Arsenal = 20 points - no difference.

Re: Leeds Utd v Burnley Match Thread - Pascal Struijk replaces the injured Liam Cooper

Clean sheet
Thought we defended reasonably well.
80% of Burnley’s forward play came from us (I’m sick of repeating myself) giving the ball away when under no pressure whatsoever.

One step forward, two steps back for the last half hour!
Touch wood, Phillips is marshalling everything at the back atm

PS, I don’t know how to split Ayling and Dallas so it looks like they are wing backs not extra holding midfielders 😁

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 22nd December) Cooper set for spell on sidelines

Meanwhile, back at the ranch 😉... As Burnley play two upfront, we might go with three centre backs (Not sure who they would be, maybe Creswell. Philips. Struik with Klich as a semi sort of holding midfield leaving everyone else as the creative element) Meslier. Creswell. Philips. Struik Ayling. Dall...

Re: Manchester Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread

What do some people on this forum want? Set up not to lose, lose 1-0, not create a chance in reply ? It’s still a defeat. I’ve never known us have 17 attempts at goal v scum ever. Koch and Llorente in defence and Ayling at right back, surely it would have been closer. It is what it is and it will be...

Re: Manchester Utd v Leeds Utd Match Thread

To be fair, we could have had six ourselves 😁
If we can win the next game, this won’t matter a jot.
If you work with any scum fans, just smile and shrug and don’t say anything, it will wind them up no end.

Re: Today's Games

Sheffield defending exactly as we do when we go forward.
A through ball or over the top and they’re/we’re exposed.
Doesn’t bode well for Sunday.

Re: Leeds United v Newcastle United - 5-2 - MOTM

Rodrigo
Harrison
Bamford
Klich
Raphinha
Alioski

Pablo should be on there for what he contributed, but roughly 12 minutes isn’t enough time to be on a MOTM list, IMO

Re: Positives & Negatives v Newcastle (one of each please)

Positive. Looked good going forwards with more creativity than of late.

Negative. If Phillips hadn’t buggered up our corner, they wouldn’t have had a corner from which to score from.
Another self-inflicted mistake leads to a chance for the opposition, which they wouldn’t have created themselves.

Re: Leeds v Newcastle Match Thread - Unchanged starting XI to face Magpies

We were 3-2 up I think when Pablo came on, so they were pushing forwards a lot more, which gave him plenty of space in which to create.
I’m a big fan but wouldn’t start him yet, I just think he needs to be an impact sub atm.
Plus Rodrigo had his best overall game in his position.

17 points.
I really do believe if we double that we are safe.
