Re: Other fans forum opinions

I like reading other fans forums when we've pissed them off or they're struggling.

Not interested in their opinions otherwise.

Re: Album of 2008 - NOMINATE NOW

Black Keys and Portishead gone. Between Calexico, Martina Topley-Bird and Ceramic Dog, then. I'm tempted to go for the latter, on the basis that someone else might pick Calexico, but I thought that about the Beta Band last time. Hector is also guaranteed to hate Ceramic Dog, which is always a bonus,...

Re: Coronavirus - Lockdown in Leeds precariously close

Ah let's avoid all the unnecessary deaths and see where the population figures end up. Plenty more space for the human race, to screw up all the other species habitat. That pretty much equates to, let the poor die, so that a small minority can indulge unlimited greed. Habitat destruction isn't a fa...

Re: Coronavirus

Vaccines have totally eradicated smallpox (also rinderpest, which infects cattle, which, unless vegetarian we need). We have also got very close to eradicating, polio, diptheria, bacterial influenza, measles, mumps, rubella and tetanus. Are you advocating Sara, that we stop all vaccine research and...

Re: Coronavirus

My personal opinion is that we need a reset in our relationship with the natural world. Any economic/ value system, left or right, which endorses unrestrained exploitation is going to create enormous problems; not just in terms of resources, inequality etc, but in the way we experience ourselves as ...

Re: Rodrigo de Paul - RUMOUR

If he doesn't really want to come, or sees us as second best, is that likely to be a problem with his commitment, even if we do sign him?

Don't want a player who thinks he's too big for the club.

Re: Coronavirus

The traffic light system isn't science fiction, it's what they have in China. A medical passport system which controls where you are allowed to go and who you are allowed to meet. Bear in mind, China has been widely praised for its 'handling' of the epidemic. Whilst such systems are active anywhere ...
