Re: Your Pint of choice this evening

Both my favoured locals now serve Barnsley Bitter, one made by Acorn brewery, and the other by Stancill.

Can't decide which I like best, but the pubs are only 100 yards apart, so I can easily alternate.

Re: Marsch Out

I still prefer bad tactics and winning 2-1 to beautiful tactics and losing 0-6. But that's just me. The scoreline doesn't matter, it's points on the board that count. You take more points from consistently beating the teams around you than from getting out of character results against Chelsea and L...

Re: Marsch Out

I grew playing Left Wing in a 4-3-3. This was in the early 1070's when all of my Mexican American coaches in California were influenced by Dutch football. But it was a joy to play. I still love it. Nice that you enjoyed playing, Paul. I didn't kick a football until I was in my mid 40s, and then it ...

Re: How long should Jesse get?

Thoughts on the Liverpool result Sara ? Thrilled to bits, but what to make of it? I only listened on the radio, so will watch it tomorrow. We've been here before - good performance against a top side, and then failed to build on it and create any momentum. The kind of performance we get against Bou...

Re: Playlist over the last week. Deathheaven (SG) + The National (Az)

I do much work on here to keep & retain members. I'll tell you now, no one over there ever has kind words to say about MOT, well they wouldn't of course! I've directed people from there to here if I thought they'd like it. It's silly to pretend Leeds only has one forum; it's perfectly possible ...

Re: How long should Jesse get?

Personally I'm always hoping we win every game and even now I look for signs that Marsch is learning and progressing as a manager. I would say todays line up would give several indicators of that as it has over the few games, where he has regressed from a not very strong position to start with, but...

Re: How long should Jesse get?

I'm not sure what they are looking for in these three games. Are they buying time until the World Cup? Does three points against Bournemouth save his job? It's very difficult to read the situation, especially when you factor in background info like Radz being sued for 600 mil, the stasis around the...

I'd take a 10-0 drubbing now if it guarantees his exit.

Cool! Bet you do OK for tickets then! Saw them a few years back supporting Alice in Chains. Think they've got better over time. No, never seen them, not really into them. I knew him for quite a while before I found out what he did. He used to manage Lostprophets, so doesn't like talking about it, f...

I can change it if you wish.

Seems MBV has been nominated for me on my behalf. I did say I was considering it, but haven't actually chosen yet.

Going down a doomjazz rabbit hole, thanks to Faaip.

Following on from the Hidden Orchestra and the Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble, I'm now working through the Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation albums:

If Orta had got his signings right, would we be in this state ?

Let's say he had found us a superb LB etc.
Marsch would still be hamstringing us imo.

Re: Marsch Out

For £21m! Both will leave for far less than we spent. Anyway, we don't have the resources to spend £46m on players and let them out. Suggests poor recruitment and overspending. On the one hand you're complaining that we've hung onto players for too long, and on the other you're complaining that we'...

Raph we got lucky because of the TV deal in France, and Orta has rode off it for 3 years.
Costa was signed in the Championship. Both he and James still belong to the Club.
