Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

White was used as a winger last season.. He was never really a fullback.... And if the pacey Strikers arnt scoring anyway, it doesn't matter where the pace comes from, as long as theres someone to chase the long balls down. Pace only counts if you're not very good... Shearer, Sheringham, LeTissier.....

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

Sorry, I meant Harewood. I always get the two mixed up coz of their days at West Ham.

Miller has scored 7 goals in 2 years, Cox scored 9 last season, and Best and Ameobi's contribution isn't even worth mentioning. And if your point is the combination, we have Lloyd Sam, Aidan White, and Max Gradel...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

I reckon the Links with Wigan and Preston have come about because Larry's away for the week. There's no way he'll go to Preston over us. As for us desperately lacking pace... Andy Carroll, Boby Zamora (I mean Marlon Harewood), Roman Bednar... They're the top strikers from the top teams in the champi...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

The bulk of Boro's squad are still premiership players, so they have a good base to build upon, Plus they'd still be getting the parachute payments, so comparing us to Middlesborogh is ridiculous... It is far more important for us to just generally strengthen the squad and consolidate. Boro will exp...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

It's no secret by the looks of it. There's quotes from Adkins on the scunny website admitting he's left him out to make sure he doesn't pick up an injury, stopping any potential move.

It's gotta be us, SURELY!

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

I think you lot are being ridiculous... There is no way we'll go through the summer without spending.. and why would any club accept an offer this early in the window for a player they know is in demand. There's a month until the season starts and TWO months until the window shuts... The holding mid...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

Unfair to judge Collins on his handful of games for us last season. He came into a faultering team and a back 4 that changed every week. I'll be happy with this signing. He's achieved just as much in his career than jay demerit. Quite happy to avoid a 30 year old American with a big mouth, a big ego...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

Howson's shown he has the ability to be a game breaker.. But he needs a good player alongside him to share the work load... You like to say he goes missing but what he's really doing is running up and down making runs and tackling for Killenny who refuses to leave the centre circle... The argument h...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

anyone else notice that Lloyd Sam was born in Leeds... ? Can't hurt to have another option in the midfield, and it certainly can't hurt if that option has Leeds at heart... Bring him in!! And as for the other midfield signing... There are better players in the world than Darrel Russel, but he has ch...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

Plus he's an old man in footballing terms. We've already got 3 CB's around 30, all of whom are good enough to get us out of this league, IMO, if they play in a settled back 4, so If Grayson's gonna bring in another central defender, I really hope it's a young one. I liked the rumour linking us with ...

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

Would love to have Killa back. If that price is correct I can def see us putting a bid in. Should play well with Bromby with the blunts link, and fits the Leeds fan criteria that Simon seems to like

Re: TRANSFER RUMOURS THREAD

a certain other forum suggesting that Tommy Spurr will sign this week... First there was a 20 page thread saying.. "We're signing a LB, and i know who it is, and i'm not telling anyone" And now a second thread has been started by one of the more reliable sources that simply said "The LB is Tommy Spu...

Re: First trip to Leeds

Yes that's McClelland.. he and I got on quite well actually, and exchanged mobile numbers at the end of the night.. he said if i was ever after tickets to give him a call, and gave us a lift back to the hotel.. it was very surreal :D They initially said dont go on the pitch, then they all of a sudde...

Re: First trip to Leeds

The experience at the game was funny. As the ground filled up and the players came out, and during the first rendition of MOT it was completely brilliant and i had to pinch myself. But once the match started i didnt feel any different to how i do when im sitting in my computer chair at 2am at home i...
