Re: General Chat

Meanwhile....you lot. We in Canada are waiting to hear some support from our King. ???!!! He - nor for that matter your government or the opposition - have come to support Canada as we have the giant orange turd with s**t for brains who thinks we should be the 51st state, drooling over us because we ...

Clearly it was not aimed at you, I was making the point to you, who seemed to consider the post was his own work when it was not. The original poster has had his say and he appears not to care about plagiarism either. Like I said - I was responding to the content and giving a Canadian perspective ...

Unless Trigger’s real name is Gaby Hinsliff and he/she/it is a writer from the Guardian, then this post is plagiarism. I have no problem reposting a report, but have least have the decency to acknowledge it is someone else’s work, and include the link. For information: https://www.theguardian.com/co ...

Re: General Chat

Can a country ever be too big to fail? Waiting for global stock markets to open this morning felt grimly reminiscent of the beginnings of the sub-prime lending crash, the moment many finally understood the old cliche that when the US sneezes, everyone catches a cold. But when it threatens to hack ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 4th February) - Leeds United have made their bed...

Here we go again with the 'sky is falling' nonsense. What is it with Leeds fans and the little dark cloud following us around? It's not like we didn't try to get in players targeted - offers were rejected or deals just couldnt get done. So we should've just brought in anyone with a pulse to say we ...

Re: Do you use the Official Leed United App?

Use it to access videos on my phone. The match centre that gives commentary on games isn't very good. Doesn't update anywhere near as quickly as Sofascore.

Re: January transfer and squad discussion.

It would've been nice to bring in a couple of reinforcements - defender and midfielder. I feel we are better off waiting to buy a top striker until we go up - which we will. Right now we won't attract a PL level striker. In a few months time we will. But clearly we weren't able to do a deal on the ...

Re: Heidi's blog Leeds United v Cardiff 1/2/25

Thank you Heidi. Must've been wonderful to be there, having seen Billy and the boys put 7 past Southampton all those years ago. Those were the years I became a Leeds fan, many, many miles away as a 12 year old. Let's hope we keep this form going for the next 16 games and win the league. This is a ...

Re: Burnley vs Leeds - Man Of The Match - RESULT

Seems strange to me that Aaronson tops the cumulative rating. How on earth has he been better overall than the like of James, Tanaka or Rodon.
I like him, glad we have him and he has been resilient - playing so many games. But in MOTM terms, not sure he should be above the others I mentioned.

Re: Rugby Union - 6 Nations

Power v flair. Not that Ireland dont have flair and France dont have power but you know what I mean. Yes I do. :-D France are more erratic though (always have been). If they play to their potential my money's on them. But they could also get rattled by Ireland. Bit like England did in the 2nd half ...

Yes Jay it will. 2 very different teams. Clearly the best 2 in the tournament. Should be a fascinating match up.

Re: Rugby Union - 6 Nations

43 - 0. ??!! What will it take for Wales to make fundamental change.
They are now barely in the top 10 in the world.
Ireland and France can just compete with the Boks and the AB. England, Wales, Scotland are well behind.

Re: Leeds/Norwich positives and negatives

Happy with the 3 points. But it was like watching paint dry as it often is, functional I suppose but you can see in the atmosphere what a tough watch it is. Thought we'd really go for it after going ahead so soon but we didn't (never do). It was professional but glad Norwich had so many injuries. I ...
